It’s impossible for me to have PMS, right?
Or maybe I just have a MONSTER case of it right now with all the hormones in my body : )
Or maybe I just sat in the heat too long today.
I’m just feeling kind of grouchy! Not in a grumpy way, but in that “I don’t want to do anything” way.
Lunch left me super full and then I sat outside in the 90 degree heat (and loved it!) but I think I got dehydrated. I chugged lots of water and then drank a smoothie while writing marketing emails for the bakery this afternoon.
Contents included 1 cup of berries, 1 cup of milk and half a tiny banana, plus ice. It was the perfect chilly refresher! And it also spoiled my appetite for dinner!
Matt brought home some dough (he thought we were having pizza!) but he turned that dough into rolls in the oven!
Topped with a No Bull Burger and the usual condiments
Grilled corn on the cob was so delicious – summatime!
[We nixed the green veg because we felt this was enough food and we’re low on EV-rything.]
I’ve been getting about 80% of the way through my dinners and have to pass the rest on to Matt. I just get full faster than I used to. I used to always be able to find more room – especially for dessert! I would love to walk to get an ice cream cone tonight, but there is just no room or appetite after dinner. I’m sure by the time I get in bed around 10pm though I’ll be hungry again!
PMS = Please Make Space!

Hurry up, BERF! Eat up that burger so mama can get some ice cream. Corn on the cob. So summer!
Awe Kath, I hope you feel better. “PMS” is no fun, even if it isn’t PMS. I hope your mood improves.
I miss corn on the cob so much! It’s the best, especially with a nice burger. And your smoothie looks delicious too
Everything looks delicious! I think I want to make a non-spinach smoothie for a change just to get a pretty color
Ahh, I love corn on the cob! That looks fantastic!
there’s always room for ice cream in my tummy
how amazingly delicious to have fresh buns right at your fingertips!
I feel the same way these days if I get dehydrated, that smoothie looks like it would do the trick for anything that ails you
We are loving grilled corn on the cob too…that’s awesome that Matt can bring home dough and make you pizza or rolls! Hope you’re feeling better!
It is totally possible to have PMS or rather pregnancy hormone overload! There is a girl in my yoga class who from around 23-30 weeks felt like as she described it a crazy lady/grouch almost like PMS. She is around 32 weeks now and says she is feeling back to more of her normal self now (or at least less hormonal)
I love how refreshing that smoothie looks!
haha…I love your PMS definition.
I can’t wait to make grilled corn on the cob! Yum!!!
I love the color of that smoothie!
I do not have the “Please Make Space!” feeling hardly ever since pregnant, because I always feel full

I wonder why some women experience not being able to eat much during pregnancy while others seem to be able to copious amounts of food? I was the same as you are, and I completely understand the frustration of it.
Dinner looks delishy! Love grilled corn, makes me wish it was already Indiana corn season!
Heat makes me grumpy, so I could see that mimicking PMS! ha Burgers make me happy, though. So it all evens out.
your blog makes me want to buy a grill and some nice big white plates.
(it’s already got me to buy smoked paprika and adagio teas…so maybe the grill is comin’!!)
I love that you’re having full on summer with 90 degree weather and grilled corn on the cob. I want that!
I bought some fresh corn at the farmer’s market today. It is great wrapped in 1/2 slice of bacon and sprinkled with cayenne pepper (or smoked paprika!)—–and grilled! Yummy!
So easy and delicious!
Nice acronym! This was almost my middle school name. They opted to call themselves a junior high to avoid being PMS!
Kurfman on PMS
I just loved what PMS stand for, corn on the cob sure look yummy. What is no bull burger?
Had to tell you – I stopped at Walgreen’s today and happened to find Biscoff cookies in the snack aisle! The actual cookies on sale 2 for $5. I had to have a package…so delish! The nutritional info wasn’t as bad as I expected – the first ingredient was wheat flour and I could pronounce all the rest – nothing artificial. Fun surprise to find at Walgreen’s of all places!
My best friend is preggers now too but has zero appetite at all. So funny when your body gets taken over!!
I hope you feel better!
There are ups and downs with the hormones and all, good thing is… you seem to always have wonderful food on hand!
That is a mighty yummy looking burger! The bun makes it! Oh how I dream about fresh summer corn…I really need to try it roasted on the bbq like that it looks so amazing! So exciting to feel the nip in the air disipating!
I love the color of the smoothie! Purple is my favorite.
Those burgers look so yummy and the bun looks fluffy and delicious!
I wonder if Matt is putting on weight since you’re sharing so much with him?
Doesn’t appear to be.
Love the idea of pizza dough buns. Mmm.
Gah. I can’t WAIT for grilled corn on the cobb!!
Unfortunately if you are anything like me the “no room” only gets worse. I am 37 weeks and have found if I eat just one bite too many than I am miserable. I also find that gives me heartburn and acid reflux…oh the joys. My husband and I call any of the unpleasant aspects of pregnancy the “joys”. It is funny how many times I use that term these days
That No Bull Burger looks fantastic – I think I am going to try and make one as I don’t know of any good vegan burgers round here. Definitely won’t get such a delicious roll either!
Hey that’s a cool mug Kath!
Thank you thank you!
it looks way better with smoothie in it!
PS. last night I had a that you wrote on “Painting Your Dining Room Furniture Black or Staining with Dark Stains.” I blame the scary movie “All Good Things” I should probably not have watched prior to bedtime!
My prior 3 pregnancies I really struggled with anger (all boys) – this pregnancy has been more gracious on my mood. I think your PMS symptoms is related to hormones. This pregnancy has been a little more gracious on me. Be gracious with yourself!
