Because I already used Plum Struck as a title
Doubled up on plums today!
I went to the grocery store this morning – maybe my last time ever as a single gal !? – and stocked up on tons of staples. I had very little produce in my cart – saving that for the markets – but filled up on cheese, milk, yogurts, pantry items, pasta, frozen salmon and more.
I put the cheese + whole wheat tortillas to good use right away! Oozing out goodness.
Served alongside some leftover veggies – for nutrition, not taste today. #firsttrimestermemories
Anyone have any fun weekend plans!? My plan is to have a baby. But we all know the best-laid plans…: )

looks like a straight up delicious lunch!
best of luck this weekend, hope your plans play out perfectly!
I hope that when I come into work on Monday and check KERF that there will be a photo of a smiling Kath holding her lovely new son.
I like that your weekend plans include having a baby… I don’t think I can top that. Good luck!
I love having a fridge/pantry stocked! YAY!
Plans this weekend: ROCK my Half IronMan tomorrow.
Good luck!
Here’s hoping your plans come to fruition!
Haha that’s funny that your plan this weekend is….just, life changing!
ahhh I hope it all goes well and God bless you guys! I almost forgot, But tomorrow I’m going to a baby shower and I’m sooo excited! Love showers in general.
LOL! Good luck with your weekend plans…I’m hoping the best for you!
Keeping my fingers crossed for Sunday!
Wow! Your quesadilla looks so crispy! Crispy tortilla + gooey cheese = perfection.
Sounds like a pretty relaxing, low-key weekend
. Haha, kidding!
Having a baby would be such a great weekend activity! We have a fairly low key weekend. A little bit of teaching for my hubby then some visiting with friends, some church, some gameroom home reno project stuff.
We have low key planned here, too, unless KATH HAS THE BABY!!
Low key weekend planned over here, but I’ll be cheering you on with your big event…fingers and toes crossed!
hahahaha oh my lord that title is too cute. Hope your weekend goes according to plan!
Praying for an awesome birthing experience for you guys!
aww hope your plans happen
Can’t wait to see you three as a family
Wow that lunch looks amazingly delish! I am at work for lunch 5 out of 7 days a week and need to add some variety to my boring sandwiches or salads. I need to find some good options that are easy for transport and can be eaten raw or warmed up in a microwave without getting soggy or blah. I wish I had this today for lunch. Instead I’m going to grab something out and not only eat a million calories, but spend money too! I think I should by some tortillas this week as well. There are so many things you can do with them!
I hope your plans turn out as you want them to!!! My plans are coach training for Girls on the Run and a blogger bookclub meetup here in Chicago!
Haha! I don’t think anyone can top your weekend plans! Fingers crossed for you that this weekend it is!!
your quesadillas look sooo oozing and perfect with CHEESE!
Hoping there will be a mommy and daddy at your household real soon. May your dreams come true!!!
Best weekend plans EVER! Good luck, Kath! Can’t wait to hear the great news and welcome your baby boy to the world.
Speaking of babies (and I hope you have yours this weekend), tomorrow is the baby shower I planned for my brother’s girlfriend. She is having a girl and I have been so busy this week getting last minute stuff together. So much work, but it will be worth the look on her face! Off to make strawberry brownies!
Strawberry brownies? How does one make that?
Strawberry cake mix (Pillsbury brand works best)! Take one box, dump it into a bowl and add 1/3 cup oil and two eggs. The batter will be thick. Like scarily thick. Don’t panic! Put it into a 9 by 13 inch pan and bake at 350 for 14 minutes. When brownies are warm, smother with a powdered sugar glaze (one cup powdered sugar and a tablespoon or so of milk). I can’t take the credit. I found the recipe on Pinterest! (And they were a hit at the shower!)
I love plums when they’re in season; I’m going plum picking next week, can’t wait!
I hope your weekend plans pan out!
Your pictures are looking extra sharp the past few days. Lookin’ good! But then again I am biased towards oozing cheeeeeese. hehe
Will be offline this weekend, going to a small trip.
When I come back (Monday) I might find baby pictures in KERF! WOW!
Kath, you did it so well! Thanks to share all your pregnancy adventure. You really made me excited on being a mom. I can’t wait to have my own baby.
You made it so fun yet real. I learnt a LOT!.
And is nice how you kept thin, eating well and excercising. So inspiring!
All the best!
If it happens this weekend, and I don’t comment before then, GOOD LUCK!!! I am so excited for you! I even told my boyfriend all about you being pregnant and how I felt like it was my friend that was about to give birth! Creep alert! Haha
But really though, I hope you have a comfortable, peaceful, and joy-filled [well, as much as those things you can achieve while giving birth!] birth and that your little baby boy is brought into the world in a happy environment!
I’m seeing a bunch of my friends before making the cross-country move back to Chicago. It’s going to be an emotional and super fast weekend.
And i hope to see some baby news via Twitter in my downtime…
We are going to do something fun this weekend — not sure what, though — with our 4 year-old daughter since I only have a few more weeks to go before I have our baby.

I’m so excited for you! I remember when I was close to the end of my pregnancy, my friend told me how jealous she was that I was about to go through the labor experience. I remember thinking she was crazy because I was so nervous. But after having 2 babies, I know exactly what she means now! I, too, am jealous of the amazing things you will soon experience! It will be the best day of your life. My son turns two on Sunday (26th!) Hope our sons can share a birthday.
I keep checking in expecting big news! I’ll have you in my prayers this weekend, good luck!
My plans are the same as yours!! Due date is next Thursday, but this weekend would be great. I had an ultrasound last Monday, baby is already 8.3 pounds….time to come out and start playing with big sister
Ooooo best wishes!
Crossing my fingers for you!
I hope that baby boy arrives soon!! Have a wonderful delivery Kath when the time comes!!
Yum! Hope you have an exciting weekend ahead of you!
I may have a busy weekend getting ready for school and dance but it should still be a good one.
I recommend to watch the episode of Friends when Rachel tried everything to get her baby to come out.
I love how you’re like oh by the way…baby time!!!
Love that you are planning to have a baby this weekend. Saying it that way is too cute! So excited for you. I will actually become a “mom” of sorts next week. Not quite like you. But my husband and I are hosting a high school student from China. She arrives Monday and stays with us through mid-June.
Can’t wait to visit your site and see a new baby boy in the photo!
awww, how fun.
I’m just going to make sure you do this right… do NOT have an only child. It ends horribly for everyone. Congrats, I’ve been waiting forever to know when you’re having your baby. I swear it seems like you’re 11 months pregnant I’ve been waiting so long. My aunt is already half way through her pregnancy right now and I’ve been reading shortly before she was pregnant.
I am an only child. I’d be hard pressed to find anyone who said it ended horribly. Do I wish I had siblings? Oh sure. But, it’s kind of insulting to 1) tell someone else how many children they should have and 2) saying that being an only child ends horribly.
Yeah, I agree. I know only children who turned out great (and enjoyed it).
Good luck! Eat spicy food, take walks and get it on
My first daughter came right on time (3 days before due date) I had my second daughter in October and she was a 36 weeker, so you never know when they decide to come.
Oh, yum!

I made whole wheat quesadillas for dinner tonight too! Super tasty. Good luck executing your plans…I have faith in the force of your focus!
I can’t believe it’s that time already! I hope everything goes smoothly if it does happen
welcome baby KERF!
I hope your weekend goes as planned!
