Pizza – yay!!
Movie? Nay!
I had a glass of Trader Joe’s Velvet Moon upon arrival – one of my new favorites!
Kate put out some yummy appetizers – including Kashi crackers (caaaashi crackers said in midwestern accent!) I had about half a serving of these – after dinner when I got the munchies!
I swear I got a photo of the salad I brought, but it’s not here. So here’s one of Diana’s Caesar salad, which was a big hit!
I had a ton of salad -
And one slice of veggie pizza, which took me forever to eat.
Ambiance
Seconds
I also did a taste test between the husband’s newest beer and Justin’s – both hefeweizens. (I just had sips of both)
And then came Michelle’s Amazing Banana Pudding!!
I started with a normal portion
Which turned into crazy seconds…and seconds and a halves….
We made the call at 7:30 to forget the movie and just continue hanging out since we were having such a good time. Good call!
And more wine! It was a sip-by-sip kinda night
I can’t lie- I had a slice of Cadbury chocolate upon arriving home. I think I’m just in an eating kinda mood. Bedtime it is!

PS- You may have won a lil something on my website!
Sounds like a great night! The pizza and banana pudding look fabulous!
OOh!! So amazing – I’m pretty sure that’s Paula Deen’s “Nacho Mama’s Banana Pudding” – it’s the only one I’ve ever seen using the Chessmen cookies instead of Nilla Wafers. It’s absolutely heavenly!!! All full of cream cheese and whipped cream goodness. Hard not to eat seconds of that!
What a great night you had! You can’t ever talk at the movies – good call to stay where you were!
What a fun time!
Glad you had such a great time!
Sounds like an absolutely fantastic evening! Maybe I’m starved for social time or something, because now I’ve got my imagination running away about throwing some pizza, salad, wine, and banana pudding parties for my friends… ha! Inspiration as usual, thanks for sharing

That pudding looks DIVINE! I have never seen it made with cookies on top (I know, maybe my head’s been in a hole lol). Gonna have to try something like that. Also loved your crumbled muffin over the oatmeal in your previous post. So many great ideas! Thank you, thank you

Love the cookies on top of the pudding!
how does one make banana pudding?
It looks great and delicious pizza to eat. The additional add on top of the pizza is awesome. I wonder if I can get the pizza here in my place..or perhaps learning to bake one my own?! Lol.

That pudding looks fantastic! I’m a little late commenting so I’m gonna hop over to the recipe now!
Pizza looks good too!!
I’m curious about the Velvet Moon Cab, was it? We shop at TJ’s every week, love that place! How much was it? What are some of its characteristics? Is it a real robust cab more for meat and richness, or it is more like velvet as the name implies?? Thanks, I love finding different nuances in wine and how it pairs with food.

Mytastytravels ,
I don’t know how much it cost, but it’s a very, very smooth cab, medium bodied. It really does taste like velvet. Thick and supple. Not too many tannins. Love it!
