Happy Morning! I love mornings. Everything seems so fresh and peaceful outside (One of the benefits of not having your AC on and being “one” with the outdoors while in your house!)
I managed to sleep from 11 to 8 – too many hours!! When I sleep too much I feel kind of sick and stiff
But I guess my body demanded it. I woke up having crazy dreams, a sure sign that I overslept.
I stumbled downstairs and put this together:
Pure bliss -
- ~1 cup TJ’s European yogurt
- ~10 cherries
, pitted and chopped (pitting without a pitter is HARD!)
- 1/2 banana
- ~1/3 cup Agaveplus granola
- Tbsp flax
- Drizzle Naturally Nutty White Chocolate Cherry Almond Butter
And Matt made me this short iced coffee for dessert
We are off on a biking/running adventure to SouthPark to put a blanket down for the symphony tonight!!! This week is Italian Week
, so we’re making a huge batch of gazpacho
and bringing bread hunks to dunk in it. And red wine
of course!!!
Later gators!

Ah I love mornings, too! Especially Sunday mornings.
I enjoyed my own big bowl of cereal, fruit, and peanut butter…but I had milk no yogurt. Looks delicious!

YUMMMMMMM!
I am so a morning person too. But this morning I woke up at 4…a little TOO early if you ask me!
Hope your day is great…looks like a yummy start!
Seriously, you come up with the yummiest looking combos! And the fact that you put them in such cute bowls makes them look even more enjoyable. I need to go get myself some of those pretty bowls. LOL. Have a great day!
Isn’t gazpacho Spanish?
hey kath,
gazpacho doesn’t have a “t” — and it’s a classic spanish dish (although i’m sure italians like it too)
Happy Sunday! I always feel groggy/stiff after sleeping too long
stretching and coffee helps!
What exactly is European yogurt? I eat ‘fromage frais’ a lot because it’s so much cheaper than greek- it tastes the same as Fage and has similar nutritional stats, but is MUCH runnier. I prefer the texture of fage but the cost of fromage frais…
I always have crazy dreams when I oversleep, too. Not fun!
I have to agree with above posters and burst your bubble – gazpacho is definitely a Spanish dish…
I love our mornings – we live in the “sticks” so there is not a lot of traffic and the sounds of the birds is wonderful to wake up to – especially today because it is so cool – the breeze coming in the house is amazing!
Great idea for the concert to make gazpacho!! Have fun
Enjoy your gazpacho whether it be spanish or italian!
happy sunday!
Yummy breakfast! I want to put cherries in my yogurt but I’m too lazy to pit them!
I don’t like sleeping in either – it throws me WAY off!! Have fun at Italian night! Don’t forget some caprese salad
Hi Kath,
What is the font you used for “red wine”?
I know, I’m crazy.
Thanks!
kate
breakfast look delish, they have a park near my house that does the free concerts and I’ve never been. i’m not sure what the kids would think. have fun and enjoy the day!
ps- how hot does it get without a/c? i don’t think i could do it here in South FL
Your breakfast looks so pretty! I am so jealous that you are making gazpacho, that is one of my all time favorite foods
Here in NYC the price of tomatos is still high, but hopefully soon I’ll be able to make some.
I love that bowl that your breakfast is in!
Lucky you with Italian Week at the symphony, that would be right up my alley.
I feel exactly the same way if I sleep too much. When I do, I always wake up like NOOOOOOO. Too much sleep to me is worse than too little. Have a good one. Exercise is a good remedy.
Today is Italian theme day on my menu, too! Being Italian, I naturally gravitate towards things I grew up on. Lots of pasta + bread!
hehe

wow. that iced coffee looks so refreshing right now. how come the summer went from MIA to heat overload in 1.375 seconds!?
I hate that too much sleep feeling. I usually find a big cup of tea and a walk do the trick to pull me out of my funk though.
Your breakfast looks amazing.
Your blog introduced me to the food blogging world and inspired me to create my own. Thank you so much! I added you to my blogroll.
Love the dessert coffee after breakfast! I had a hot one at the Farmer’s Market…it’s breezy in Vancouver
What a perfect breakfast to start out the day. That almond butter flavor sounds absolutely AMAZING!!!
Have a fun biking/running adventure!!!
You are always up to something fun – the symphony sounds wonderful – enjoy!
My half italian side CANNOT wait for Italian week! I’m a little too scared to watch the fish preparation video but good on you for doing that!
Gazpacho is Spanish and, also, by the way, it would be impossible to make it without onions.
That said, have a great night at the symphony!
ellie ,
The euro yogurt is definitely running and it much tangier than sour. It’s quite the opposite of greek yogurt, actually.
kate ,
It is just Arial big.
ashley, mom of 3 gets healthy,
Up to the high 90s up there – it’s hot but not as humid as FL.
Kath
Oh, that iced coffee looks really good!

THAT breakfast does look and sound divine!
How are those nut butters? Which one is your fave/one you’d recommend? I’m thinking of splurging on them sometime in the future, but not sure on which ones would be most worth it!
Tay ,
The vanilla almond butter is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
