I think I need a bigger bowl!
Matt brought home another test item last night – a Raspberry Almond Muffin. I was commanded to try it out for breakfast!
Served with a healthy dose of greek yogurt, blueberries, banana, half a crumbled muffin and sunflower butter. The muffin’s flavor was great, but I think the bread/cake part needs work on the texture. I absolutely love the texture of our Blueberry Buttermilk muffins (this one was a little stiffer in comparison).
Silver Needle tea with milk! [New mug!]
Thank you Mother Nature for watering our plants for me
[Greens are gone and new summer veggies planted!]

I love the cheerful colors of your breakfast! Nice to see on a gloomy day where I am.
Happy Friday!
I think I will be forever jealous of your endless supply of delicious baked goods! That muffin flavor sounds amazing!
Oh boy that yogurt bowl looks delicious! Love the combo of baked goods & yogurt!
That mug is so gorgeous!
Lucky duck! …A new muffin (that sounds great!) AND a nature watered garden!
Hehe I am notorious for choosing a smaller bowl than I need when I make salads. I end up spilling half of it on my placemat…… someday I’ll learn! Happy Friday Kath!
That muffin sound delish! Do you guys make peach muffins too? Peach almond is my current favorite. I’m a GA stereotype, LOL!
I can’t remember if we have made a peach muffin – we put them in the Savannah bars for sure!
Pretty new mug! I doubt ANY of your baked goods are ever less than delicious!
Love the new mug!! And yay for a hands-free garden watering
I’m always in need of a bigger bowl when I start packing on the toppings on oats or salads. I can get a little out of hand. I hope you have a great day!
This one was a little stiffer in comparison… that’s what she said! Haven’t watched The Office for awhile, say that our DVR recorded the Welcome Party episode last night. I don’t know if I’m excited for this season or not, last season was just not the same without Steve Carrell. Raspberry almond sounds delicious, but I do agree that the texture can sometimes with the flavor. Raspberries seem to need a lighter, less dense muffin while other berries and flavors can be more dense or firmer. I have a cherry almond recipe that I was thinking of trying today. Yesterday I made banana blueberry and used about half whole wheat flour which worked well. Glad Mother Nature is helping her out, send her to Nebraska. I’m not so worried about my grass and plants, but the farmers desperately need rain. We are in a drought and there seems to be no relief in sight, 104 degree temperatures into next week! Have a fabulous Friday!
raspberry almond muffins sound perfect right now to me! wish we had a great harvest closer than 2 hours away. your backyard looks so lush…very nice!
I love eating things in small bowls. I love tiny things. I’m weird.
It’s been pouring here since I woke up – loving the break from the heat!
That muffin sounds delicious!! Sounds like a tough job having to be the new product tester…
Being married to a baker sounds really tough. Demands to eat muffins for breakfast is torture.
One of the top reasons I’m excited to move house/start my new life is to BUY CUTE BOWLS LIKE YOU HAVE.
so much gardening this summer! I love it.
I cannot get a good texture when I try to make muffins. therefore, I’m leaving it to the professionals (aka K + M).
Ooh what new veggies did you plant?!
More zucchini and squash!
Fun! My zucchini plants are going crazy right now! I’m getting ready to plant another crop too, just have to decide what
Haha I’m pretty sure I would LOVE to be a muffin taster! Actually, I think my dream job would be the person who comes up with new ice cream flavors! I’ve always wondered who gets that job…
I love the combination of raspberries and almonds…Peach, raspberry and almond is also another tasty combo!
Cute mug!!
I wish my husband brought home free delicious muffins
Hah.
that muffin sounds so good!
Love the mug! Where did you get it?
Pier 1 yesterday!
wish i could grow a garden in my DC apartment! cute mug. i would eat about any muffin no matter what.
Shucks — tough to be commanded to be quality control!
Love the new mug! So much fun when Mother Nature does the watering…
Lucky girl! Now I want a muffin
I love making breakfast bowls filled to the brim with bits of deliciousness. Yours looks amazing!
Your mugs may need their own BIG cabinet someday

I LOVE the new mug! You find the cutest stuff:)
The muffin sounds awesome. If you guys need guinea pigs, I’m available. You know…for a customer perspective.
I have to admit I was very skeptical about this plain yogurt breakfast you have so often. I DO NOT like the taste of plain yogurt. Always have to mix fruit puree or something in it (which I rather do to avoid the added sugar). Today I decided to try it with blueberries, banana, granola, a sprinkle of sunflower seeds and almond butter. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! I only had a hard time eating the last couple bites of the plain yogurt, but I think I’ll be adding this to the breakfast list. I also thought the nut butter on top would be weird but I really liked it. Question, how much yogurt to you eat? A serving is a cup but that is way to much for me, especially with all the added toppings. I did about 2/3 cup…
Glad you liked it!
I do about 2/3 a cup too : )
Everyone is raving about the mug (which is indeed lovely) but i have my eyes on that bowl!! I also tend to like smaller versions of things. I eat my oats in the morning our of an espresso spoon, while the boyfriend practically uses a spatula!

That muffin looks delicious! Being married to a baker must be dangerous, constantly tempted (or forced haha) by all of these delicious baked goods! Yummm! What type of nut butter do you use?
Trader Joe’s sunflower butter
That is my favorite!
A muffin and yogurt sounds AMAZING!
And that is a super cute bowl, even if it is small!
Your big breakfast bowls always look so good!
buttermilk in baking is great – and if using another milk other than it for the new muffins, the crumb may be a little tougher and denser but I’m sure I’m not telling you anything new here
I think Mother Nature missed the memo that I didn’t need watering today in D.C.
I love that white bowl! Is it ceramic? I am in love with ceramics lately.
Yep!
That backyard is *gorgeous*. Every time I see pictures of it I drool. May I ask how big it is (sq. ft). We are house hunting and I’m trying to figure out what we may need
I think half an acre, but I could be wrong..
