Today is the peak of fall. A warm day with about 20% of the leaves on the ground and the other 80% sporting reds, yellows, golds, and oranges.
Matt and I decided to take a walk and capture some of the beauty for evermore.
Harder than it looks
Go, triceps, go!!
There was lots of Halloween prep spotted
A little kitty warming up
He followed us!
Pumpkin carving
Decor
And even a zombie!
The snack that fueled me: Alliebar!
I was hungry all day today – had a few pieces of dried fruit and nuts to tide me over as well.
[And then the sun set : (]
For dinner we ventured over to Faith + Tate’s!!
Per usual, the menu was simply gourmet!
Those fancy salts came out again!
And Faith made Better Basil Butter (go ask her what that means – it was complicated!)
We started the evening with a wee bit of Pinot
And dinner was served – Roasted Tofu, Baked Rosemary Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Broc + Cauli and Crusty Olive Bread.
Her tofu marinade was outstanding! I think nutritional yeast was involved!?
Ma eats
Midway through dinner a second bottle of wine was opened. "This is how we do ittttt"
This bottle was compliments of Sarah + Josh for the party this weekend and it was FAB!
Desserts
World Market Sea Salt Chocolate. OMG, this made me realize how much I’ve been missing dark chocolate in my life!!
And a sliced pink lady…have also been missing those!
Thanks to friends for the fun!!
[PS. Can you believe we went from local friends of Kate + Nate to Tate + Faith!? It's crazy! I say them all wrong all the time!]
Nite!

I love salted chocolate! Such a good treat.
Gosh, it is so crazy hearing about another Faith in the blogging world! I used to think my name was so strange!!! The whole dinner looks absolutely amazing…I think I’d be happy having tofu + some form of roasted veggie every night for the rest of my life…er…this week
I love this fall weather–the colorful tree make me so happy!

I love Fall Foliage! Its so beautiful!
Nite
I never tire of looking at photos of fall foliage. The leaves are just so pretty!
That picture of Matt cracks me up. He looks hilarious!
Lovely food, company and fall colors
I miss all those biking tracks whilst visiting my sister and bro in law in the Netherlands. I love it that you can bike in such beautiful weather. The weather in Orlando still grosses me out. Its freaking on the higher 80s while we are closing into Nov!!!!!!!
You just can’t go wrong where chocolate is concerned..
Ha, I love the zombie picture of the Husband
That crusty loaf of bread looks to die for!
Matt makes an excellent zombie!
Sea salt chocolate?! Yum!
Can it be autumn all year long? Pretty please?
What lovely fall photos indeed
Mmm, salted chocolate. This post is cute.
Okay, what is salted chocolate? Just what it sounds like? Yum, sweet and salty all at once? I’m going to have to find some now:) Looks like it would go perfectly with a glass of pinot!
Wow that meal looks amazing! Jealous
How tall are you?
5’2″
I LOVE Halloween decorations… our neighborhood has really gone all out! And I am quite envious of the beautiful color changing leaves! Here in Austin, TX we see a lot of green leaves go straight to brown.
sea salt chocolate? wow… i dont think i’d like it but i would like to give a try!!
that dinner looks terrific – reminds me of the stuff i’d make for friends!
Is there anything tastier than dinner with friends?
As someone who has (lots of) chocolate everyday, I don’t know how you went without it either!
That tofu looks amazing… going to see if it’s up on her blog!
I wish it was still fall here! There’s a chance there will be snow on the ground when I wake up tomorrow!! I love pink lady apples!
Oh, zombies. Hahaha. Love the fall photos. I can’t believe Halloween is only one day away! The crazy weather is messing with me, I think.
FOOOOliage! Looks like our cameras got their fair share of leaves today
Love your triceps commentary + the faces on the trees.
Sea salt chocolate is sooooo good
Yum– Do find out that pesto recipe, as well as the tofu marinade…. the whole meal looks delicious
!
Glad you had a great day with the hubby!
I am loving all the fall colors. They look different from the colors here in Oregon. We have a lot of reds and oranges and less yellows.
Wooo! Now Matt’s representin’ the flip flops!
“This is how we do ittttt”…after reading this, can’t get Montel Jordan’s song out of my head…ahhhh, get out of my head before I go to sleep.
All those trees are absolutely beautiful! I love fall.
Dang, you are so lucky to have so many friends that eat like you do! That is beyond cool.
i love sea salt chocolate! I just finished the Lindt one, it took me a while, but omg, it’s amazing.
Tofu and roasted veggies are such a simple, but a great combo!
Looks like a good spread!
Have you carved your pumpkin yet?
Such beautiful photos! Especially the one of Matt the Zombie!
Gotta find some sea salt dark chocolate…I agree, I have no idea how you’ve managed without it!
Love all the pics! The fall is such a pretty time of year, it’s fun to take advantage of it with pictures!
The meal looks fab, by the way!
That tofu looks amazing! I need to be more creative with my marinades!
wow that food looks delish! pink lady apple are my absolute fave! but they never have them in buffalo, ny ;(!
ha, i had the same thought about kate + nate! and i’m glad the wine was gooood. i did pick it just b/c of the label but whole foods usually has decent ‘featured selections’!
Our trees are starting to lose their leaves already! Yesterday on campus I noticed some that were completely bare! I hate how fall is so fleeting!
I love all the fall weather pictures!
any chance we can get the tofu marinade? thanks!
Go talk to Faith on her blog
As much as I love Colorado, I really miss the vibrant colors of fall back east!
I have never had salted chocolate but it’s ALL over the food blogs lately. Is it really the religious experience of sweets that everyone says?
I could not find the recipe for the granola bar from Alliebar. Can you help? Thanks so much
DEB
They’re secret – she hasn’t posted one.
What a great little get together.
LMAO at ZOMBIE!!!
OMG…do you think Faith would be willing to share recipes for all that great food??
Sea salt chocolate is amazing I agree
