Manic Monday…Er Tuesday!

I have to be at work at 9:30, so I got up at 6:30 this AM to get in a workout first. 6:30 turned into a 7:30 departure, so I’m scrambling a bit to get going.

I was hungry when I awoke, so I had this banana + AB combo for 1st breakfast. I want to be like Polly!!

I biked to the gym, and was surprised to find it rather chilly outside!!! Only about 67*. Once there I did 30 mins on the elliptical and was going to do some lifting but I ran out of time, so I headed home.

I couldn’t decide what to have for breakfast. There are too many good options!! I finally decided on oatmeal, since it has been a while.

Remember Probar oats!? I found one in my cabinet.

The mix:

  • 1/4 cup oat bran
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 banana
  • Vanilla + cinnamon
  • ~1 tbsp crumbled ProBar
  • Spoonful Barney Butter

With ice water to balance the heat

I love Polly breakfasts! It amazes me how much AB and a banana can fill me up!

What brand do you think is the best AB for your buck?

I have tried Trader Joe’s brand but it’s a wee bit of hike to get it for me.

Busy lady! Crumbling a Pro Bar on top of your oats is a great idea, will have to try that when the weather gets cooler and I start eating oats again every morning.

Have a good day!

Your morning at the gym sounded like mine sounds all the time. I hate being rushed to get in my workout. I have to get up at 4:45 just to get everything in in the morning before I have to be at work at 8am. Ugh! Your breakfast sounds delish.

Might as well take advantage of the cooler weather and make oatmeal. It just doesn’t appeal to me during hot weather.

I would love to see 67 degrees. 76 at 6am is just plain nasty. So is a high of 102. I should really move out of Texas. I can’t imagine eating oats during the summers here.

nicole- chasing blue,
I would guess Trader Joe’s is probably the cheapest (esp. since Polly bought like 20 jars of it in one trip :) )
