Many things made my morning
First, a sunrise run with a crew of friends! We covered 4.6 miles to Pier 39 and back at a rather swift morning pace. Such fun to run and chat, per usual.
I have had three FABULOUS showers here at the Drake Hotel, all because of these:
LOVE Aveda products!! I’m such a smell girl.
After a quick shower, we headed back out for breakfast. Couldn’t pass another day of Bread & Cocoa! We were hoping to get smoothies from the Jamba next door, but alas, they didn’t open until 9. But the guy at Bread & Cocoa was super nice and let us come in a few minutes before they open. The also served up 7 steel cut oatmeals in record time. Just another reason why it should be your breakfast spot while traveling to SF!
I got another steel cut topped with chopped almonds, coconut, granola and…
Ashley’s homemade Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter. Exceeded expectations. This may have been THE BEST ALMOND BUTTER I HAVE EVER HAD! And the best news is you can make it at home
Also got an amazing Cafe au Lait
After breakfast we walked to the farmer’s market for a little sight seeing
My gorgeous roommate!
I nibbled on a few samples – Frog Hollow pears (can’t get enough!)
Butter Toffee almond (really delicious!)
And this caramel shortbread bite
I also bought a jar of Lavender Sea Salt. I am into flavored salts, and I remember this from last year. Had to get it for just $6!
Off to get my session on!

Gorgeous pictures!!! Enjoy!
Oooh this looks amazing – that oatmeal restaurant is on my list for next year for sure! I was also at the market this morning (where the weather was probably about 20 degrees colder than where you are!) and I LOVE looking at all the interesting produce. Enjoy your sessions!
Everything looks so fun. Living vicariously through you!
You can’t complain about a restaurant that offers oatmeal (steel cut, no less) and almond butter.
That hotel must be FANTASTIC to have Aveda products! The Rosemary Mint scent is amazing!
All the eats look so tasty! Looks like a great time!
Looks like a great start to the day! The pumpkin spice almond butter sounds simply GRAND, as well! I’m all about almond butter.
Can’t get over how great everything looks, especially that almond butter!
My friend sent me a text and said that she saw all you guys in SF at the market. I felt like we were celebrity spotting
No way!!!
Staying in hotels is one of my absolute favorite parts of traveling. So glad you’re having awesome Aveda experiences! :-p Also, I’m strongly considering arranging an oatmeal toppings bar in my house. I feel a little bit ridiculous.
I’m in love with your jacket! You guys look like you’re having so much fun, I’ve always wanted to go to San Francisco
Don’t they have the best, most gourmet market ever?! AH I miss San Fran SO much…ya’ll are so blessed

Sounds like a perfect morning! That carmel shortbread looks so good!
I was at my Aveda salon today and they have the rosemary mint soap in the restroom, it smells heavenly! I adore Aveda products, they are amazingggg.
What a fun morning. I love aveda, nice hotel.
Beautiful pictures! The oats look delicious.
I work for Kimpton Hotels here in D.C. and we own the Drake! How cool, hope you’re enjoying it =)
My cousin works for kimpton hotels in the dc area! Her name is reagan. She manages resteraunts for the hotels.
Your pics are always great, but today’s are extra fun to look at. Very beautiful. Looks like a magical time.
Oooh, have you tried the Aveda lotion yet? LOVELOVELOVE! It is super expensive (like $35 for 10 ounces or something similarly ridiculous); so I asked for a couple extra bottles and they gave them to me.
If you like Ethipian food, try Moya in SoMa. My husband & I went there the last time we were in the city and it was delicious.
Look at all that pretty fresh produce! So jealous as we cruise into winter here in NY. *sigh*
Lavender sea salt sounds so good ! I’ve never tried different flavors of sea salt.
Pumpkin spice AB sounds like it would be fantastic! That’s awesome that Ashley brought some to share!
How amazing! I may not be able to taste those pears of salt, but thank you for linking to the nut butter recipe! It looks fantabulous!
Lavender sea salt sounds amazing!
Everything looks so delicious! That would be fab to still have fresh raspberries here in CO. Have fun!!!!
Happy to see you stopped by Eat Well (lavender salt). I’ve work at the market for Eat Well for 10 years – can’t believe I wasn’t scheduled this weekend and missed the FoodBuzz crew!
