First, the debut of baby toys! So fun that we now have toys for visiting kiddos to play with!
My friend Lynsie is making us a crib skirt! By making I mean she is sewing it herself and I got a sneak peek today as she tried it on for size. Love the colors!
Also love her two little boys. It was fun to see the nursery in full play action!
I ran to an appointment this afternoon and then to Shenandoah Joe’s for a few giftcards and picked up an iced decaf while I was there. Came home and had a date stuffed with almond butter to go with!
When Matt returned home, we packed up and headed to one of TWO birthday parties of the evening. Happy Birthday (last Wednesday) to Meredith!
She and Garrick hosted a bunch of friends for BBQ, mac and cheese and a pot luck of side dishes.
Peach Lemonade for the baby and me!
For dessert, I tasted Hillary’s vanilla bean cupcakes!!
And then…
Happy Birth-day To Mer-e-dith!
A delicious red velvet cake with amazing cream cheese frosting!
After a huge storm blew over and Meredith’s candles blew out, we headed across town for birthday celebration #2 – Happy Birthday (tomorrow) to Miss Smart Kitchen!
Alex Asphalt hosted an ice cream social for Sarah at her home – too many toppings to count!
Along with Splendora’s gelato – multi flavors!!
Despite being full, I could not resist a second dessert. Love ice cream sundaes!
After lots of fun chatting, my 10 little piggies demanded to go home. This may be the beginning of preggo foot swelling? I thought wearing cute shoes would be fun tonight, but by the end I was missing my expandable flip flops. My feet look huge!
Can’t wait to put the pigs up in the air in bed.

Looks like a blast!
Happy Birthdays and Celebrations!!
Put those feet up as much as you can these last few weeks – it’s such a treat!
I had some bad swelling during pregnancy, and it kicked in right at about the number of weeks where you are now. It continued until after my son was born. One of the key things that helped with swelling was prenatal massage (by a lady who was specially trained in prenatal massage). For swelling, it’s also important to keep the feet/legs elevated as much as possible. I think staying hydrated and drinking lots of water probably helps too? Resting a lot probably helps too.
You must be getting SO excited to hold your precious little one!! You will fall in love in the most intense, profound, soulful, and deep way ever…more so than you can even imagine. No one can possibly describe to you what it’s like…it has to be experienced to be understood. Many blessings to you!
those shoes are SO cute!!!
Whew! Quite a day! I love that your nursery is already being put to use, it’s going to be a busy place soon!
ah, fun! hope the feet feel better. ice cream social is a great (and super cute) idea
Food, friends, (kittens!!!)…what a lovely evening.
Peach lemonade sounds delicious! I never would have thought to make or buy that combination. Yum! Red velvet is my absolute favorite.
Cute kicks!! I gained a half a shoe size with each baby, just sayin’. Put those piggies up whenever you can, and maybe indulge in a pretty pedicure?
Pedi is on my “hope to get this done before he comes” list : )
Great idea! I’d love to have a job naming nail polish colors
Something I wish someone had told me before pregnancy – you change shoe sizes afterwards. All the cute shoes I had before kids had to go
And also – your hair falls out in clumps a few months postpartum. I didn’t know either one of those things until after I had kids.
Oh Cubbie, always the center of attention
Thanks for coming last night, and Happy Birthday to Sarah too! Hopefully the next birthday we’ll be celebrating soon will be baby KERF!
: )
Oooh, that spread looks delicious!
Cute shoes!
What an impressive food spread!
Wow so much delicious food! Getting friends and family together is always the best feeling.
So exciting that the nursery is almost finished being put together!

Funny, before reading this I commented on another post of yours that I love dates stuffed with almond butter. YUM.I send them to school in my kids’ Bento boxes too.
I’m just discovering them!
I’m SO happy y’all could come. It was lovely to see you!!! I’m glad you made it safely home to put your feet up.
Ooo love the teal with the grey/white! I’m tackling my own crib skirt too
My feet just started swelling this week too
Only 3ish more weeks left though, right?!
Your party food looks delicious- especially the cake. The strawberries on top make it look very pretty!
What better way to celebrate than with delicious food!!
