Time fly by this morning as I prepped to leave town. It is THE MOST gorgeous day outside!! Cool and breezy yet still summertime warm. I wanted to take my workout outside but was a little too sore for running in the hamstrings. I ended up biking to the Y, doing 15 minutes on the elliptical, and then heading back outside for some walking laps around the track with a magazine. It was an easy, breezy workout. Once home I did the C+K 10 Minute Workout. I think I finished in 9 minutes!! I also wanted to add in response to some of the comments this morning that I do often lift heavy weights (15 lbs for biceps and shoulders). The point of the challenge is to reignite an interest in strength by starting over with time and dedicate – much like I did when I started with just 20 minutes a day of yoga back in December. So no, I am not swearing off weights for ever, as I do think they are important to incorporate and make progress, but if your goals are just to tone what you have and/or recharge your enthusiasm, an at-home workout works wonders.
Lunchtime called!! I used up the last of our fridge. There’s nothing green to be found in this house!
I made a quesadilla with a slice of Applegate ham, 2 tbsp goat cheese and English Beer mustard by Fortnum and Mason
Loved the sharp taste of this mustard! It didn’t leave me tipsy though
Plus a carrot with Chocolate Toffee Peanut Butter
LOoooove Naturally Nutty’s stuff!!
And a Honey Oikos with a chopped peach. I’m not sure I really like the honey flavor. It comes in the form of a gel on the bottom of the cup – like fruit on the bottom style – and you mix it in. I’m just a plain kinda girl!
We are hitting the road for Danville now. I’m not sure if I will have internet tonight, but I definitely will tomorrow. Hope to see y’all sooner rather than later!
Happy 4th!

have a safe and fun trip, kath!
(and your lunch looks so perfect and color-coordinated, esp with the yard in the background!)
I find the honey Oikos to be too sweet as well. I would rather get the plain and add my own drizzle of honey.
I actually lift heavy and love it! (25 pound biceps and shoulders). I use free weights pretty much exclusively now, especially since I got over my fear of the squat cage
Next to biking, lifting is my favorite fitness activity.
I don’t drink beer, but I bet I would like it in mustard form! Have a great time!
Safe travels!!
Oh, and once you pick a city that you are definite about moving to, will you please go on House Hunters?! Haha!
That mustard sounds yummy. And I bet it went great with ham!
Have a great weekend!!
Yummmmz lunch for not having much!
TRAVEL SAFE!
YUM! Your lunch is making me drool!!!
Yummy lunch =) Have a fun and safe trip!!
Safe travels and happy fourth! Your lunch is making me hungry, and I just ate!
I love the way your peach is overflowing out of the yogurt container. So visually appealing
Have a great weekend!
Travel safe!
Sounds like you got in a wonderful workout before your travels. Hope everything goes well and can’t wait to hear all the stories!
btw, I TOTALLY agree with you on the Oikos. I’ve been converted to a strictly plain sort of gal!
have a great weekend away!
I am addicted to Naturally Nutty. Love the Butter Toffee, Vanilla almond and plain almond butter. Scared to try the chocolate versions just yet. Looks cracky.
I still think you should read NROLW. You will realize why there is no need to do biceps and triceps exercises ever again. Compound, multi joint exercises are 100% more effective. I promise!
have a safe and happy holiday! Diana
Have a safe trip!!
yay! Have fun
Have a safe and fun trip!
Are you going to Danville, KY? I used to live there!
definitely not a honey oikos fan either
have a fabulous weekend!
have a safe trip!!
Those peaches look great. The quesadilla looks so scrumptious:) I’m getting hungry!
Oh how funny, when I saw Danville I was all “WHAT??” Thats my home town! But I live in Danville on the other side of the country! Too bad!!
it’s trip time! lunch looked yummy. (as always) hope you have a fun and safe trip.
Yummy! I’m right there with you on the yogurt, I so prefer plain (and mix my own fresh fruit in, maybe some granola…a little bit of whatever sounds good).
Enjoy your trip!
I agree, at home workouts are great. I especially like them because, with no weights at home, you can just use your body as its own resistance. Yoga and pilates do such a great job of that, and to me, its more empowering than dumbells!
Goat cheese!
VA horse country is so beautiful. Enjoy yourself!
Yeah, honey Oikos is too sweet. I love the blueberry though!
I also think it’s important to like your workouts, there’s so many to choose from so you should experiment with as many as possible to find what’s right for you or do what I do and change things up all the time!

I seem to be in the minority, the honey one is the only way I’ll eat greek yogurt. I haven’t liked it any other way.
I love that you make a point to use up your fridge before going out of town! Such a good policy.
I haven’t tried Honey Oikos yet but I bet it would be too sweet for me!
Your peanut butter looks amazing!
Kristine ,
LOL! I would love to
