Life In A Pod

June 25, 2010

It’s here!!!! WHEW. Sigh of relief. Now we just have to fill it!

IMG_5724 (640x427)

Look what else is here!! Mom + Dad. They came to say goodbye to the house [and help us pack!]

IMG_5702 (640x427)

Kanz – with a Bora Bora tattoo he found while packing!!

IMG_5703 (640x427)

I had a few sips of this guy during cocktail hour – Matt drank most of it.

IMG_5704 (640x427)

After some chatting, we put together the most lax dinner our house has seen.

Pantry chili, Karen-made salad (which was very nice!) and dinner at the kitchen table on the last 5 paper plates I own.

IMG_5711 (640x427)

IMG_5706 (640x427)

The chili was great – all pantry/freezer staples!! Beans, okra, peas, Applegate Farm’s Organic Cocktail Franks, Diced tomatoes, Organic Valley Cheddar. Matt served the bowls and I could only fit about half of mine.

IMG_5707 (640x427)

Topped with plain Voskos! Thick, rich and awesome.

IMG_5710 (640x427)

IMG_5718 (640x427)

Served with some Tostitos fresh from Frito Lay – one of the Healthy Living Summit sponsors :)

IMG_5709 (640x427)

Karen brought a great green salad with veggies and a homemade dressing.

IMG_5712 (640x427)

This is a giant Golden Rabbit bowl now available in my shop!

IMG_5713 (640x427)

Served with some iced tea Karen made

IMG_5716 (640x427)

IMG_5722 (640x427)

I also had a few sips of this Chipotle Ale – delish!!

IMG_5721 (640x427)

Our lizard friend said goodbye!

IMG_5723 (640x427)

Evening entertainment!!

IMG_5734 (640x427)

IMG_5733 (640x427)

Dad + Mom + Karen [Matt was already asleep!]

IMG_5727 (640x427) IMG_5731 (640x427) IMG_5729 (640x427)

IMG_5732 (640x427)

And meeee! Vanilla bean, taro + pineapple with fruit, chocochips, coconut and honey!

IMG_5737 (640x427)

Mom and I just exhausted ourselves packing the kitchen.

Dad is VERY worried about the pod. We really don’t know if stuff is going to fit. Not sure what the contingency plan is…

I love that Matt put on the tattoo! Too funny!

I’m so jealous of the huge frozen yogurt places I’ see on all of these blogs! There’s not a big one like that where I live! :(

I had some friends just use a pod to move across country. It is like a Jenga puzzle getting it all in, but I am sure you guys will be able to get it done! Good luck!

Oooh, your husband’s so hardcore with his tattoo! :P Good luck fitting everything into the pod – you’ll have to sustain yourself with lots of froyo to get through it, I think!
