License To Chill

December 15, 2009

This morning was spent on the couch watching License To Wed, which I actually thought was really cute! Probably because I love "Jim" and Robin Williams. The scene with the babies was HILARIOUS and the only scene that was too much (too stupid) was the driving blind one. Otherwise, good movie!!

Enjoyed with some fantastic oats:

  • 1/3 cup oats, milk, water
  • Vanilla + Cinnamon + 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ~1/3 cup cooked butternut squash leftovers, stirred in at end
  • ~1/4 cup cottage cheese, stirred in at end
  • Pumpkin butter jar scrapings
  • ~1/4 crumbled Probar
  • Maranatha AB blob

I forgot how good and seedy and chewy these are on oats!

SUCH a good bowl!!!!!!!!

Bowtie anyone!?

2) I’m going to yoga tonight with Emily so my day is wide open. Guess I will take a shower now !!

3) I stayed up reading The Road which is SO scary but SO good!

4)  Need to wrap Xmas and turn on some music!

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Any day that starts with Jim and ends with Christmas music is a pretty great day in my book.

I wanted to see that movie but I wondered if it was too silly! I might check it out now.

That movie was horrid! John Krasinski must’ve needed the paycheck :)

The Pro Bars look yummy, but I can’t find them anywhere. Are they similar to Kind Bars?

It’s not Walk to Remember, but I agree that “jim” is more than enough eye candy to make up for it :)

Oatmeal looks extra super duper fabulous today. Enjoy your day!

I believe that movie is 99% responsible for my relationship (which I believe is about to be Made Official). We caught it on TV when we were having our first big fight a few years ago and it somehow solved everything; we caught it again this weekend and I think it may have put a permanent stop to his waffling about getting engaged. I’m not usually a sentimental movie person, but three cheers for Jim and Mandy!! Thanks for cheering me up on a dreary Tuesday (it’s that time gray of year in Houston, too!) :)

Hunni and I watched that movie when we were engaged and laughed hysterically. The blind driving was too much for me but the rest was hilarious.

Hey, I got my bowls yesterday! They are massive. Great for salads :)

Yeah, that movie? I’ve never seen it…because it looks terrible. There is something about an over the top Robin Williams that kills me. Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting are the only movies of his I can stomach.

Your oatmeal looks fantastic! Ahhhhh “The Road,” I have been reading it on and off for two years now. I know that is crazy but I cannot bring myself to read more than a few pages at a time. It is so gripping and heart wrenching to read. Cormac McCarthy is a beautiful writer though.

On a fairly unrelated note, have you ever seen the movie “A Time to Kill”? From your general movie discussions I think you would like it. Sandra Bullock, Samuel Jackson, and Mathew McConnany(sp?) are all fabulous in it.

John Krasinski was the only good thing about that movie. I mean – robot babies??!!??

Still I’ll see any movie with him in it. :) Leatherheads wasn’t that great either but it’s got the bonus of George Clooney.

You should see Away We Go. Kinda quirky and John can’t look less Jim like but I really enjoyed it. Both he and Maya Rudolph were fabulous and there’s a great supporting cast.
