Jen,
Walking and reading is GREAT! You just have to look up every now and then and follow a sidewalk or street. I don't think I could read a novel walking, but magazines are easy. Give it a try!

"So as a result, I tend to think that eating is 75% of the weight loss equation and exercise 25%."
They do say "abs are made in the kitchen" :)

KellyL,
Traditional hummus does but I was going for more of a lighter bean dip "hummus"

KatieB,
Pam High Heat - I bought it last week and didn't even think to check the label. Who puts trans-fats in cooking spray!? But beware!

Justy2003 ,
Definitely didn't dip the fruit in the hummus! I didn't even dip the crackers - that would ruin their perfection!

Abigail ,
I must be typing it phonetically incorrect!! I think Clair say it better with "strawbrys." I don't really put an L in it but it just seemed to look better. Wish I was in England with you!

Courtney ,
I cut them in half, lay the flat sides down, cut them in half and then cut into 3-4 inch pieces at an angle for a pretty edge. I usually don't peel them first, but these were particularly gross looking so I did. That makes them a little more appetizing.

Susa ,
I'd give it a week in the fridge??

sammypie ,
Am I boring if I say it was a combo of everything? I never ate "junk" food in college - but I did eat way tooo much of everything, especially beer and wine. I didn't drink tons at once, but I definitely had a drink almost everyday at dinner, and I think that really added up. And I ate in restaurants a lot more (thanks to a crappy apt. kitchen). My roommates also always bought good food like tortilla chips and homemade cookies. I wouldn't consider those junk food (I still eat both now) but I just ate too many. My foot problems definitely slowed me down, but if it happened again I wouldn't gain the weight back - I've learned to be more adaptive. I gained about 20 pounds throughout college and exercised almost every day of my 4 years - but it was just not enough to cancel out the eating. So as a result, I tend to think that eating is 75% of the weight loss equation and exercise 25%. Of course they go hand in hand, but I think it's easier to overeat than to under exercise. A little bit of exercise goes a long way - but a little bit of cake goes further!

arimcg ,
I don't think you can really taste the yogurt, but it's definitely creamier and cooler than regular hummus. Kind of like using plain yogurt in place of mayo in tuna salad.

babycakes ,
Your comment made me smile out loud :)

Kate(the teenager),
Yeah, my paper is on Niger, specifically how breast feeding impacts child nutrition. But that's only the last 5 pages or so. Most of it is a book report. Blarg! Did you talk about Kwashiorkor and marasmus in your talk?

Dee ,
I'd agree it's a little runnier than other yogurts - I think that's the absence of added thickeners? I'd liken it to Breyers Fruit on the Bottom (mine was FOTB).

kay ,
Glad you liked the kiwi skin!!

What a lovely lunch!! One of my favorite fruit combos is strawberry + kiwi!! They go so good together :)

I ate the kiwi skin the other day after reading that you eat it, just to give it a try. It actually tastes good and it's faster/easier to cut! Time saver and yummy!!

Everytime I see your little spoons, I want one!!
