Things were pretty laid back today at the bakery. Except for my appetite for sweets! That was on fiyah! So good, y’all, so good!!
Matt was very busy today:
Crossing my fingers for Imperial Pumpkin in 10 days! {Maybe a little longer…}
I came home at 7 after closing down to find that dinner had yet to be started. But that was just fine because we had a nice selection of leftovers in the fridge.
Radicchio + Wheatberry Salad reheated with BBQ chicken and bleu cheese.
Also served with dinner was a slice of Italian bread, toasted.
Sparkling water back in my life in bottle form. Waiting on a keg to be prepared!
Tonight, we WILL watch The Office! Maybe Glee too!

WHoo! The Glee was way better this week than last IMO.
Out of all the meat I have missed after becoming vegetarian, BBQ chicken has to be one of the top. Yum!
I bet a well-pressed firm tofu with BBQ sauce would help replace that flavor/texture you’re missing. I know it works well when I do Tofu Nuggets.
I’ve got the first two episodes of this new season of Glee on the DVR… and haven’t been able to watch them yet. I hope they’ve kicked things up a bit from last season (which was a bit lackluster imo). The Office is great, as usual. Enjoy!
~
i love throwing leftovers into one bowl and calling it dinner. delicious, easy, no clean up, and it cleans out my fridge!
I love Matt’s beer set up! Did he make that stand for it?
Yup
i will be watching the office as well! have you read the ny times magazine article where curtis sittenfeld (american wife) interviewed mindy kaling???
I have not..
it’s pretty awesome!

BBQ chicken, yum! Looks like an awesome dinner. I bet the pumpkin roll was the gateway sweet!
BBQ chicken and blue cheese sounds awesome together! I never thought of that before.
Looks like a great dinner
Yay for The Office and Glee! We literally JUST caught up on those as well.
Dinner looks amazing – love the BBQ chicken addition. And guess what I just found in the back of my pantry (packing is good for something) WHEATBERRIES!! So excited!
I WILL watch Modern Family!!! …. Can I eat something from that bowl!
Go Matt!
I want to be busy the way Matt is busy! —Just today though! He’s a busy bee…. alllll the time!
Glee was good!!! Haven’t watched the new Office yet…
Matt’s beer sounds awesome!
I’ve yet to see either of the new Glee episodes. Gah!
Fiyah….hahaha:)
Matt’s got quite the distillery going there! Pretty soon he’s going to need a liquor license to serve all that good stuff. Kidding
I would love to watch the process b/c I find fermenting and bacteria and yeast really interesting. (geek alert but yes I love it)
Have fun chilling with Matt! My man is away and I’m missing our couch cuddle!
I was staring at the first image for a minute trying to figure out what could be under that blue cheese. At first I thought it was pasta! lol Looks delish.
MMmmm BBQ chicken sounds gooooood!
I love that Matt brews beer! Can’t wait to hear how it turns out!! Happy Beer Brewing!
I love leftovers, because they are easy to prepare!!!

That looks like an excellent dinner-so many flavors! What does Matt’s pumpkin beer taste like?
It’s going to be a high alcohol (somewhere around 8-9.5%) imperial pumpkin beer – caramelly sweet, thick body, and made with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves!
um can i come over? please?
I love leftovers for that reason : easy, delicious, fast. YUMM.
Leftovers are a blessing, especially after a long day! Matt’s beer station is super impressive!
Such an impressive beer manufacturing plant!
Homemade pumpkin beer sounds awesome.
Random – I just met a guy in the train in Italy who works on a Radicchio farm. Only in Italy…
I love having leftovers for breakfast, am really not a tea fan
really gives me the kick start to a splendid day. Nice post
Glee was good this week! I think I’m developing a small crush on Puck.
Did Matt construct the metal structure himself? Becuase that looks better than using the kitchen burner for brewing like my little brewer does.
Yep, I bought some angle iron and used a hacksaw to cut it to the lengths I needed, then bolted it all together. It’s nice to be able to make a mess outside and not take over the kitchen. It probably cost about $150-200 to build.
I can believe the clean up is better. I’m the bad girlfriend that offers to help but gives up after scrubbing the stove top for 20 minutes and getting nowhere.
Wow! Brewing looks like one giant science experiment! How cool!
That bbq chicken looks delicious!
I missed last night’s epsiode of Glee. I dvred it though. Last week’s episode was so boring. I hope this week’s was better!
Okay – your homebrewing setup is WAY more elaborate than ours – I’m in awe!
We still need to catch up on Glee from this week, I need to know if Quinn cleans up her act, lol!
I love The Office so much. Watching reruns right now<3
Nice brew set up! My bf has the same kettle.
glee with a good dinner= a great night
