What are these strange cloths covering my legs?
After waking up a bit earlier than normal, we packed up everything and headed to one final breakfast.
Dining with a view – I’m going to miss having my breakfast already made!
Smoothie – with a few tbsp of muesli sunken deep down
I was just going to have a smoothie this morning, but then I realized this was my final fresh meal and future meals would be in dirty airports, so I filled up to last me through lunchtime when we’d be arriving at the Montego Bay airport.
I added scrambled eggs (I have rekindled a love for them), a slice of bacon and a small slice of Banana French Toast.
Must make a banana sauce soon!
Coffee to hopefully keep me going until midnight – which is truthfully going to be really hard!
Matt’s savory crab + cheese omelet, plus a slice of cheese and sliced tomatoes!?
After breakfast we had an hour to kill, so in our jeans and long sleeves we walked a few rounds around the resort.
Tiger in the jungle
Goodbye Jamaican Tigre!
Get this: Donna is a Jamaican KERF reader who just starting reading a month ago after her friend Teresa recommended it. As she read this week, she recognized HER HOTEL where she works in operations in my photos. Last night we found a bottle of wine in our room and a note from Donna!
This morning we tracked her down at breakfast to say thank you. What a coincidence!.
While I’m flying through the air today, I will be pretending I am floating in the ocean…
[Since so many of you have asked for one, a full post with our thoughts on Couples Swept Away is coming soon!!!]

How wonderful! A sweet KERF reader in Jamaica! That is the coolest!
We will be in the same boat tonight trying to stay up till midnight. Yikes! I don’t know if I can pull if off! Hope you are enjoying your daydream of floating while you are flying!
it always kind of scares me when I realize what a small world it is!
exciting at the same time, glad you got to meet a new KERF fan!!
Aww, the end of vacation is always so bittersweet! Glad you had a good time tho! Happy New Year!
What a small world! So cool how you got to meet a KERF fan while you were on vacation! Banana french toast is the best – I might make it tomorrow for our first breakfast in the new year. Hope you had a great trip & happy new year!
What a small world! That was so sweet of her!! Happy travels.
Have a safe trip home!!
I am sure you made Donna’s day with your personal thank you. Truly thoughtful! Scrambled eggs are one of my favourite quick go to meals…comfort food! Safe trip home! Happy New Year!
tomatoes with breakfast are perfect. it reminds me of a true German buffet breakfast with cheese and cold cuts and tomatoes and cucumbers. delicious
Awww how sweet! Dedicated KERF readers far and wide
We honeymooned in Jamaica and just loved it. We were in Ocho Rios, but are planning on going to Negril the next time we can afford the trip!
Safe travels!!! It’s always hard to leave, but it’s nice to get home!
Small world!
I’d love to know what resort you stayed at. It looks really nice.
Safe travels home…feels like you barely got there and bam, you’re leaving. Time flies! I hope you two had half as fun of a time as the pics have all seemed…truly I can feel the joy and the Caribbean vibe in them…have loved them all.
And banana sauce and smoothies and gross airport food, nodding in agreement on all.
That was so nice of her! Hope you have a safe trip home…Happy New Year!
What a great end to a vacation!
What a small world!! That is so awesome that you were able to meet a reader!!!
Looks like a swell time in the tropics. Happy New Year, Kath! I hope it is a super one for you both! All the best,
L
Kath – is that a LOFT shirt you’re wearing in the second to last photo? I just bought one that looks EXACTLY like that earlier this week. This is the second shirt I’ve seen in blog photos that we both own! There’s another magenta and white swirly shirt (from Target) that has made a few appearances in the past. Great taste (obviously!)
Happy New Year!
What a small world! It’s got to be amazing to randomly run across KERF readers all over the WORLD!
Hopefully, the coffee tided you over

Interesting to realize how far your reach is with a blog. I’m enjoying finding that out for myself. Travel Safe!
I find it quite amazing that you meet readers everywhere you go…what a small world! Safe travels and cheers to 2012!
Yes, tomatoes go great with breakfast, especially eggs. I learned that in the South.
