You must slice them thin and the extra ripe bananas are the ones that really dissolve. If it is just a yellow one (no brown spots) it will still be in there a bit.

But I REALLY like to use dried mushrooms, rehydrated and adding a splash of the water they sat in for added flavor. The mushroom flavors are so pronounced when rehydrating them.
