So instead of studying Organic all morning, ZestyCook and I cooked up some KERF designs!!
A logo:
And a bumper sticker!
Would you guys buy them if I figured out a way to have them made and sold? I’m not a bumper sticker person, but I’d put it on my car for a good cause
Or maybe just my lunchbox, binder, locker, etc.
I hope to get some t-shirts and stuff in the works over Christmas break…more details to come!
Cory is a logo MASTERMIND!! Email him if you’re interested in one: ZestyCook at Gmail.com (or at ZestoCook.com.)
Kath. Eats.
So for lunch today I had leftover veggies from last night along with a tiny piece of salmon leftover from Karen’s sandwich on Saturday -
Plus some cottage cheese with wheatberries + pumpkin butter. SO GOOD!! This CC is actually 4% fat that the husband brought home b/c it’s on its expiration death bed. I’ve never had it before, but boy it is creamy! I don’t think it’s worth the fat upgrade to switch permanently, but it’s fun to have for a treat this time.
+ an apple –
My friend Victoria brought me a chocolate – I might have that during lab to celebrate the end!
Study time!

Wow I love the logo and bumper sticker! Such a neat idea.
I would love to do a logo for my blog. It would be really fun.
Are the bumper stickers the kind that can peel off and you stick it on the window?
Angela

The logos are really cute!
That looks like a honeycrisp
Full fat dairy products are sooo good… I usually go with lowfat as a nice compromise between being too dull (skim) and really rich (full). I bet the cottage cheese was great
Cool! Yeah, I would DEFINITELY buy a bumper sticker
Those are some great designs that Zesty came up with!
Lunch looks delicious!
Have a productive study session
Thanks for the shout out kath…. Lunch looks great! Good luck studying
zesty
If you want bumper stickers made, I highly recommend stickerjunkie.com. We’ve used them for car club stickers many times. They have great customer service!
Cute logos – stick a copyright symbol on them and register them to protect your IP!
Wow, the logo and bumper sticker both look great! Nice job, Zesty!
Cool!
Kath in Israel the most bought Cottage cheese has 9% fat! Its REALLY creamy; my ma used to give it to us all the time when we were smaller. Now we stick with the 3% or 1%. No fat-free option though!
You might try cafepress.com- and definitely copyright it- because someone WILL steal it
Delurking to say- LOVE your blog
cool sticker!!! definitely will buy one if you sell it!
I’m such a big fan of KATH!!! hahhaa….
oh..you just reminded me to make more wheat berries!
So fun!!! Love them both! Maybe I should do one for Carrots N Cake!?
gorgeous bumper stickers! i would so wear a t-shirt
love KERF!
Very cool logo!!!!
too cute!!
kewl KERF logos!!
ditto on more fat CC = yummier!
I am not a huge fan of bumper stickers either, but would definitely get a shirt!
I have a giveaway on my blog today – giving away my brother Charlie’s book “Why Your Last Diet Failed You” in case any of your readers are interested!
I think the logo is very cute and professional too, but I’m not big on bumper stickers.
Love the logo.
I’m not big on bumper stickers though, but I am sure lots of people would love them.
oooh fancy logos!
Salad looks amazing as usual
CORY IS GENIUS!!! As are you
Mmm, I’m not sure the first logo is working for me: it immediately made me think of Special K (cereal) or Circle K (the convenience store).
Lovin’ the logo!
Totally off-topic: have you ever tried making your own Greek Yogurt? I’ve successfully made it two weeks in a row using 1% Milk and my crockpot! It’s fantastic and definitely easier on my budget than buying 3 containers of TJ’s Greek yogurt every week.
I’m not a bumper sticker person, but I love the logo!
Cute designs!!
Good luck studying
Very cute designs!!! T-shirts would be fun =)
I love the CC, WB, and Pumpkin combo, it sounds delish!
Love the logo and the bumper sticker! Zesty is so awesome!
Good luck with the studying!
Hey Kath,
I love that the first design has “A blog devoted to healthy living” on it, but I like the actual design of the 2nd one even more. If you go with the 2nd one, I’m sure people would simply visit your site out of curiosity to see what it’s all about. If I didn’t know KERF was a healthy living blog, I would probably assume it was a website for some sort of restaurant.
Anyway, I don’t put stickers on my car, but I would definitely find a place for your sticker where people would see it – maybe on my water bottle as I always carry that around with me.
Tshirts would be great as well. I’m sure plenty of your readers would be willing to purchase one and help spread the word. I would.
Oooh la la! I like both logos. Cory is SO good!
Oooh Kath, you’re such a celebrity
. I’d buy something for sure! An I <3 KERF tee perhaps… or maybe even a lunch bag?
Kath, I would LOVE a bumper sticker! Please make them
shawna,
would you mind sharing the crockpot yogurt recipe? i would love to try it. thanks!
Yay on almost being done with lab! I like the sticker too, though I don’t put any on my car. Maybe on something else, or on a shirt.
Shawna, I’d love to get your Greek yogurt recipe too please.
Can someone explain how to steam vegetables? I have a metal steamer but keep burning things in it. How long do you steam for, how much water do you put in, how do you know when the veggies are done, etc.? Thanks
Could you provide a website button design for those of us that might want to do a review of your blog to help promote you *wink*
I keep reading about those wheatberries. I’ll have to try them soon.
Mel ,
Cool! I’ll check it out.
Moran ,
9%!! Wow! I bet it’s good though.
shawna ,
I have strained yogurt through papertowels, but I didn’t think it was worth it since I had had to buy yogurt first.
I don’t have a crock pot
Angie ,
Can you use the logo or bumper sticker, shrunk down? I dont’ know anything about design so I couldn’t whip something out.
I don’t know what you mean by button
Kath
Kath – you need to get a crockpot, if only for making yogurt
. You can get one for about $10 this time of year.
Here’s the recipe that I use: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/10/you-can-make-yogurt-in-your-crockpot.html
I used 1% milk and did not add any powdered milk or gelatin since I strained it in a paper-towel-lined mesh colander for about an hour after it was made.
The result is about 2/3 gallon of yogurt from 1 gallon of milk. That’s a lot of yogurt for under $4.
BTW – I have been starting my yogurt at about 5pm at night, going to bed at 10pm and leaving it overnight until about 7am – perfect!
Kath, hi!! I love the logo… the first one is awesome with the circle. Yay for fun shirts! Go Kath! (have you heard that hillshire farm commercial that says GO MEAT? We say go KAth!
Use those logos on waterbottles!
I know! KERF Oatmeal Bowls!!!!
Lol Polly
You guys are awesome with the ideas! I love waterbottles and bowls. But how will I ever find someone to make them AND sell them? I’m planning to do a CafePress store soon…
K
The logo’s look amazing! I love the color combo’s, very fresh looking.
Your lunch also looks tasty. Enjoy your chocolate later.
Hi! I am sorry I may have missed it, but what is the “good cause” you mentioned that you are selling the goodies for?
B_Healthy,
I haven’t said I was selling anything. Just thinking of possibilities and gauging interest now that I have logos.
K
oatmeal bowls…that’s the best idea ever!
oh when you said “good cause” I was all like oooh wonder what charity? Because that seems like a really cool thing to do with the holidays approaching etc.
I would totally buy both!! And definitely would buy t-shirts, too! That is so cool that you are doing this
I would boy a t-shirt definitely! Today when I was running the way home I was thinking of how I could compare my morning workout to yours and Angela’s at Oh She Glows. You’re such an inspiration, I’d love to wear KERF proud
I like the first logo better…and sorry about this, but I have to say that now I have “strange things are afoot at the circle K” (Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure) in my head
Oh, I wanted to add something else….maybe the circle can be long grains of wheat instead of just lines.
