KERF reader Becca sent this adorable button to me in the mail! How appropriate – pumpkin and all!
Real food breakfast, made with pumpkin love: Coach’s oats, chia, milk, water, salt (no banana – I’m out
), 1/2 cup pumpkin and 1/4 cup cottage cheese, stirred in at end. Plus Cville Cluster (the last bit – no clusters left!) and Barney Butter
Frothy birthday tea – because today is LARZIE’S BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy 26th!!!!!! [So jealous]
I’m all showered and things because Matt and I are going to a presentation this morning!

Yay! happy lucky birthday to your sis
I love that button too, how fun!
Have a great Tuesday, Kath!
Ah! Happy birthday Larbs!!
I had pumpkin Coach’s Oats the other day too – SO SO delicious! Also? I LOVE the last bits of Cville Cluster…almost as much as the delicious clusters themselves!
Have a great day Kath!
this reminds me, thank you for your love of oats, I am so in love with all things oats now! AND now that it’s fall I am (like you) putting pumpkin in them in every way possible! It is making my morning spectacular!!!!
I get disappointed when there are no clusters left in my granola!
I also have to comment on your frother, because I ordered one from Amazon last week and CANNOT wait to use it. I’m hoping it gets here today. Oh it’s the little things that make a girl happy.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
You inspired my oatmeal breakfast. I usually want savory and use my oatmeal as a afternoon snack, but today I had what was like an oatmeal raisin cookie in a bowl. Thanks for the inspiration.
Such a cute button!
I have GOT to get a frother
What a cute button! I have been on a pumpkin craze ever since fall officially began… Just can’t get enough!
Honestly…cutest little button I’ve ever seen!
Totally cute button! Real food, home cooked meal is SO much better than a quick meal from fast food.
Have fun at your presentation! It’s not a time share presentation, is it?
Happy birthday to your sis!
That button is awesome! They should have been selling those in Italy when I was at the Slow Food epicenter. Marketing miss!
LOVE that button!:) it is so appropriate!
LOVE the button. I need one for my button collection! I’ll trade one back.
Happy Birthday to Larzie. The first birthday was happy too. I know–I was there!
I soooo love that button. I had overnight oats that tasted like pumpkin pie (so sad that I used up the last of the pumpkin pie spice). Soooo in love with pumpkin! Mmmmm….
Woah perfect button!!!
Happy bday to Larbs! Didn’t realize you guys had birthdays so close together. What a perfect button
That button was made for you! Such a great find. Your oatmeal looks beautiful – per usual.
Great pin! I love it
Cute pin and love the embroidered dish towel. So sweet!
That button is SO cute – I want! Do you know where the reader got it?
I don’t
Glad to see you were able to grab some breakfast for your birthday! It looks birthday worthy and I’m especially digging the pumpkin right now. Still contemplating whether I should add it to my bowl of Kellogg’s FiberPlus in the morning…any thoughts?
Aweeeee love dem buttons!!!
happy birthday!!
i love real food these days too, kath… and its your blog that got me that point after years of fake diet foods and additives. yuck! give me veggies, please!!
That button pin is so cute! It’s perfect for you. Happy Birthday to Larzie! I just checked out her blog too – I love it!
that bowl is tilted and I love it. Also? what makes you use water instead of milk? I tend to use vanilla almond milk for the sweetness. It doesn’t taste like barney butter flavored cardboard soup?
I use 50% water/50% milk – always. I get the protein + cream of milk plus the plumping and volume of the water
I love the button and I really need to jump on the pumpkin because I’m totally missing out this year!
Love the ‘real food’ button! And, a huge happy birthday to your sister!
Cute button!! Have fun at the presentation–and happy birthday to the sis!
Great button – I found a store in midtown Manhattan that specializes in organic steel cut oatmeal – you would love it
Adorable button!! You have some awesome readers
Every time I see those bowls they make me think of the big retro swivel chairs…like the one the kid has in his room in Sleepless in Seatle! Totally random, I know!
Happy Birthday to your sis!
Happy Birthday to your sister!! Hope you have a great day!!
Love the button!

Haha I had the opposite problem this morning: I was all put of pumpkin, so it was banana oats for me!
How could people not like real food when it looks and tastes like that? Good luck today!
Happy Birthday to your beautiful sister!!
I have never tried coachs oats, Im tempted to ; )
Have a great day Kath! <3
I love real food, too! (And your blog, but that goes without saying…)
Have a good day!
Aww, love that button! Happy birthday to your sis!
Love your breakfast ideas! That’s a cute button.
What a cute pin – and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your sister!
Kath, you should try the line of nut butters by Peanut Principle. My favorite is their Banana Peanut Butter. YUM!
Havent’ heard of those! Where do you get them?
Just did the cottage cheese into pumpkin oats today. I forgot how good it was!
The oats look fabulous! I am so making those
YUM! <3
Been wondering how Karen is doing. She has been on my mind and hoping she is recovering like she is supposed to be. Not meaning to pry, just think of her so often with this being ‘Cancer awareness’ time of the year.
Thanks for asking – she’s good, and she’s actually in ITALY right now on a bike trip! That’s why she’s been MIA.
Wow! How fabulous. I hope she’ll share a few photos when she returns. Go, Karen!
Where did she find that button? I need one, or one box full! I had pumpkin oats this morning and just made some pumpkin bread. I just bought 12 cans of pumpkin that were on sale for $0.99 (just the 15 oz, not the monstrous 6 or 7 lb cans like you are able to get). I’ll certainly be heading back to buy some more later this week. Happy 26th birthday to your sis, 26 sounds so young! Hope you enjoyed the presentation – did you guys present or were you just attending?
Thanks! Too bad I’m not getting a huge 26 ganache cake!
Pumpkins DO equal love. hehe
That pin is so cute! I love those oats! They are just so fluffy! Happy Birthday to your sister!
Love love love that button!!! So cute and appropriate for October
Such a good idea to add pumpkin (in addition to all the other goodies) to oatmeal!
I want to go swimming in that bowl of oatmeal and never come back out.
Happy birthday to your sister!
This post made me realize it has been way too long since I last had pumpkin oatmeal! That needs to change pronto.
Kath, do you use no salt added cottage cheese or just regular low fat cottage cheese? I’ve been wondering this forever and finally took the time to ask!
Regular ole organic low-fat
So happy that the pin arrived safely! I definitely squealed when I saw it featured on the blog today.
Glad to see so many other people liking the pin too! Looks like we all <3 real food.
OH yay – thanks so much!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to your Sis! And gotta love the pumpkin. I started following your blog last year and saw that you put pumpkin in your oatmeal. I tried it and I am hooked! When the fall season comes, I can’t wait to have my canned pumpkin!
Mmmmmmm! Love pumpkin!
DO YOU KNOW WHERE SHE GOT THE BUTTON??!!!
I do not..
Ok, thank you!!
Love that mug! Need it! And loving the pumpkin…wishing we had more of it out here in Korea~land:( And that button is the CUTEST!
