Kath, that is exactly how I am with ice cream. If it's in the house, I'll eat it; therefore, I haven't bought any since my daughter's bday party in August. When I started healthy eating, luckily our fridge died for a few hours and the leftovers melted. That saved me about 2000 calories over a few days, I'm sure!

Grounded Fitness,
I think there are few dinners we make that are worth repeating because there are SOO many recipes and food combos I want to try and too few meals to make them! I do want to make last year's Turkey and Kale Soup soon though. That one's a winner.

Lauren ,
I don't know why you guys think I am perfect because I can point out MANY times in the blog archives where I have slipped up, overeaten, pigged out until I felt sick, etc. In terms of exercise, I have always enjoyed the release of it so it's never been a problem for me, but food on the other hand, has always been harder for me to "do" normally. As for motivation, I don't think it can be explained. It's a conversation you have with yourself and a decision you make. "Is this worth the splurge, is it not?" "How far have I worked to lose 30 pounds/" "How did I get here = eating healthy, daily exercise." If talking to yourself doesn't work, put it on paper. I wouldn't be where I am today without food journaling. And as always, practice makes perfect.

hey kath,
I'm just wondering if you could explain where you get your motivation every single day from? I mean how is it possible to never slip up? Do you always think that its not worth it to just splurge? I in no means mean for this to come across rude in any way, I just honestly cant comprehend where you get your drive day in and day out.

If I work out in the morning I have no problem getting ready. Just get up, put on workout clothes and GO. However, if I wait til the afternoon it's hard to get moving...and, like you said, hard to even put clothes/shoes on to get going!
