There’s nothin’ like the sound of harmonicas. And cicadas. And sipping wine.
Especially on the most perfect summer night you can imagine!
Hot, but not too hot.
Sunset. Mountains.
Delicious Jefferson Vineyards wines
We tasted the flight of Jefferson’s best and then set up our picnic by the stage
I packed a salad
A slice of leftover pizza for each of us
And watermelon!
Plus we each enjoyed a cool glass of vino – Viognier for her, Pinot Gris for him
The music was FANTASTIC!! I just love harmonicas and banjos and fiddles and cicadas!!
Dessert was chocolate!
[I FOUND A GOLDEN TICK-ET!!!!!!!!!]
Fiery red pepper!! Yum!
To conclude, Matt had a Cab Franc and I had a water and sips of Matt’s Cab Franc!
Since it was Americana night, Susan B. even joined in on the fun!

Kath, super cutsie dress!
Yep, looks like a perfect summer evening! We all need more relaxing evenings like that.
It looks like a great evening for sure. How was the chocolate because it looks like bloomed which shouldn’t happen with a properly tempered bar?
The chocolate wasn’t great – perhaps our AC-less house?
nice accessories!
looks like such a delightful, warm summer evening! live music + wine + great scenery = glorious
That looks about as perfect as it gets for a summer night.
How I wish I had even half of your beautiful dresses!
That is a gorgeous dress! The food, as usual, looks amazing.

So glad Susan B got to go on the picnic! I’m wondering if she felt envious about how cool your dress must have felt compared to hers.

Dress is from Loehmann’s a few years ago! Thanks for all the nice comments

This seriously depicts every aspect of a perfect summer night. I love your dress! (Susan B.’s might be better but probably a little too hot for a summer night
)
I also love that picture looking into the wine glass where you can see your hand at the bottom. Is that weird? haha. Those types of photos are the ones that resonate with me for whatever reason.
Glad you had a fun/relaxing night!
This looks perfect! I really enjoy Americana music – especially when it’s live and outdoors like that. It feels so summery!

Is that Grace Potter on the front of your chocolate bar? Sure looks like her! I’m going to have to do some googling…
It is!! She helped create it I believe… her and those Nocturnals
Very cool! I googled ‘grace potter chocolate’ after I left my comment and read up on it. I love her and the Nocturnals. Seeing them for the 2nd time in Charlotte at the end of August.
I just saw her show last night!
what a perfect night!
I love your dress! So adorable!! I now blame you for the fact that seeing that chocolate bar made me have to go and grab some chocolate from my desk 10am
