I finally got around to having that green smoothie I’ve been craving. What an appropriate day to have one too
The difference this morning was that I bundled up in my robe in advance to prepare for the cold shock.
I made mom try the smoothie too…She was prepared for the worst and say it was actually quite good. She drank the whole (small) glass!
I had a big bubbly bowl (which I shared with Matt because it was a little too much in the end)
Of course we had to balance our greens with a little holiday tea cake. Pumpkin Chocolate chip from Great Harvest!
Some warmth

Haha, my robe has a hood too! That teacake looks awesome—too bad Great Harvest isn’t open today. Enjoy your hike!
I love the idea of starting the day (after Thanksgiving) with a healthy green smoothie! And big props to your mom for being adventurous in her morning eats. I just got my mom to try peanut butter oatmeal for the first time and she loved it. Now, if I could only get her to like vegetables….
Have fun on the hike! What a great idea to stay fit
I thought the person the the robe was a different person at first — didn’t even look like you! lol

Hey when you make your SIAB do you ever pour cereal in too?
All the time!!! I love it with granola on top.

That robe looks SO cute. I want one with a hood!
You look like a Jedi Knight. Altough I don’t think they drank smoothies…but who knows?
Enjoy your post-Thanksgiving hike! I just posted about getting healthy in the small window of the weeks from Thanksgiving to Christmas, so your smoothie and hike are serving as inspiration to me!
Perfect morning after Thanksgiving breakfast! I, unfortunately, did not do such a great job. I had a pumpkin spice scone with lots of icing. But I did work out, so that’s worth something right?
Looks like the perfect breakfast! Glad your mom like it
Have a great hike!
Yay! You finally got your green smoothie! The Great Harvest bread looks marvelous
Cute robe!
Oh, I so love the jars for vases. The dried leaves are just right!
Yummy tea cake!
that pumpkin chocolate chip bread looks to die for!

You crack me up in that first picture! I totally know the feeling… I’ll get a craving for a cold smoothie in the middle of winter and just HAVE to bundle up to enjoy it.
Enjoy your Black Friday events!
I love your family traditions, they are so much fun!
Love urban hiking! I’m heading onto the Black Friday trail soon too – have fun!
Shaun went mountain biking today so we’re doing our normal day after Thanksgiving hike TOMORROW! Have fun!
Mmmm…that little pumpkin chocolate chip loaf looks so warm and comforting. PERFECT with coffee or tea
hahaha, that first picture is so cute!
I had myself a green monster this morning too! Have a good time on your hike. Sounds like fun!
Didn’t recognize you at first in the robe. I also served your maple brussel sprouts for thanksgiving and they were a hit!
I love your robe! Where did you get it?
