Good Ole Lunch

May 31, 2010

Turning into my favorite meal these days!

I’ve got a leafy salad – romaine, spinach, carrot, green pepper, celery and pecans. With a squeeze of lemon.

Dr. Kracker Apple flavor!! LOVE them!

And a Siggi’s plain (wish I had more of that awesome Orange Ginger!) with a little jar of Chai granola and ~4 almonds

Peek-a-boo!

Oooooh. Apple flavor Dr. Krackah? Sounds intriguing. I adore Dr. Kracker. Definitely my favorite brand of crackers by far. They just have the thickest, most satisfying texture to them. Thanks for alerting me to the new flavor!

Now that the weather’s growing warm my favorite meal is switching from oatmeal breakfast to salad lunch, too. there’s nothing like raw veggies! Except maybe dessert ;-)

Lunch is looking good… back to the normal after a weekend away! Love the salad plus yogurt/granola combo. Will it be a sandwich and fruit tomorrow? Do you alternate on purpose, or just kinda go with what you feel like?

14 Kath May 31, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Haha. Yes, likely. Although I think tomorrow is sardine salad!

I was looking for the apple flavored Doctor Krackers the other day, but couldn’t find them. Found the original and cheesy pumpkin though. YUM :)

I’ll have to look for Dr. Kracker in Apple… I really wanted to try the cherry but they had expired and were on the shelf still, darn Co-op. As for Siggis, I have one to try I picked up last week, Pomegranate and Passion fruits!

Apple crackers, that sounds good. You should also try the vanilla Siggi’s with real vanilla bean.

The Dr. Kracker apple flavor was my absolute favorite. Kind of chewy and sweet, but crispy at the same time. Yum! :D

Happy Monday! (and happy memorial day too!!!) :D

I love Siggi’s, but it’s just so expensive! I can only bring myself to purchase it when it’s on sale.

32 Heidi May 31, 2010 at 4:57 pm

What is the difference between Siggi’s and greek yogurt like Fage? Is it just a taste difference?

Reply

33 Kath May 31, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Subtle differences in taste and texture. I like Siggi’s better!
