You Have 1 Week To Burn These Coupon Codes:

15Ramen = $15 OFF Ramen Bowl sets — 50 coupons available

I tried out one of the Voskos Organic Plain yogurts for breakfast. Organic Plain Greek is my ultimate yogurt of choice….

I have to say I was REALLY impressed!! It was soooooo smooth with almost no tang at all. Almost like a thick sour cream. The smoothness might have won my heart. I’d say it’s most similar to Trader Joe’s Greek, which is one of my favs.

Mix with:

  • 1 small banana
  • ~12-15 Kashi Cinnamon Harvest biscuits
  • A sprinkle of Hemp Plus
  • A tbsp Lingonberry preserves
  • A heaping tbsp of freshly ground flax (’bout time I pulled it back out of my freezer to grind!)

Eggnog in the summa!

This. Is. Not. Good.

Gah, maybe ENgland is passing the showers over the sea to you – it’s raining here right now! (and it’s my birthday today – where did the sun go!?)
What’s endoscopy by the way? I feel so dumb for asking, but I can’t place it :P
Have a good day!

Happy Birthday!

Since I try to stay away from hospitals as much as possible, I am not exactly sure. The online Encarta dictionary agrees to define Endoscope (but not Endoscopy) as: medical instrument for viewing interior of body a medical instrument consisting of a long tube inserted into the body, used for diagnostic examination and surgical procedures. Websters circa 1961 defines Endoscope as: An instrument for examining the interior of a hollow organ, as of the rectum, the urethra, and the bladder. The Columbia Encyclopedia circa 1935 has no reference to either Endoscope or Endoscopy.

By the way, how do you pronounce your name?

We are supposed to get rain this weekend, too. Boooo. Have a great day, Kath!

I have had an endoscopy so I feel your patients’ pain :(

Well at least if it does rain… you can sit on the porch and read! Sometimes… soft rain can be soothing!

I think rain is all over the east coast this weekend :(

Have a great day!

Hey, at least it’s only scattered, right? Usually when they say that for us, we get one tiny little rain shower, and lots of sunshine. Hope that’s the case for you!

Oh endoscopy…fun stuff! I am sure you can find something fun and romantic to do in Asheville in the rain…was that too much info?

Have a great day!

Looks like a yummy breakfast bowl this morning, Kath! :)

No, but the weather is even better encouragement to eat lots of good food (indoors!) and rest (at the hotel!)…

Can you show us the ingredient list on the yogurt, please?

Reply

You should be able to find the yogurt’s ingredients list and nutrition facts on Voskos’ website.

I have tried Brown cow, oikos, greek gods, fage, siggis, chobani, yoplait, TJ’s, and voskos greek yogurt; Voskos and Siggis are definately my favs- they blow everything else out of the water. I especially love the Voskos honey- its just a tad sweet with a good honey flavor and the only ingredients are honey and milk (most “honey” yogurts are sweetened with sugar if you read the ingreds).

Um, before you get *too* sad about the weather, think about us here in Australia where it’s almost winter AND we have no Buddha bowls. :( At least if it’s raining in Asheville, you have more reason to do nothign but snuggle with your guy! :D

Bring an umbrella and go for a rain walk! To my mind, that’s the best way to enjoy summertime showers :-)

30 Stacy (StacyGrowsHealthy) May 27, 2010 at 8:11 am

Don’t let the rain bum you out. The weathermen aren’t always right. Plus it will give you more reason to have some relaxation time if it does end up being a rainy weekend.

31 Cristen May 27, 2010 at 8:17 am

Don’t let that forecast fool you Kath! We’ve been having that forecast up here for a couple of weeks now and it hasn’t been doing much of anything. At the most we’ve had small showers in the afternoons/evenings.

Hey Kath!
My husband and I are going to be in Asheville this weekend too! We are going for our belated honeymoon! Want to meet us for dinner at The Laughing Seed on Saturday night? That is my FAV vegetarian restaurant! I would love to see you and Matt again after our lunch at Lovey’s here in Wilmington. Send me an e-mail :)
If we don’t get to have dinner, I hope you and Matt have a wonderful weekend, even if it rains!

Thank you so much for the coupons on the bowls! I love them :)

This should have gone under yesterday afternoon’s post, but what kind of Camelback do you have (model name)?
It looks very streamlined. Some of them are bigger and I wouldn’t want to run with them.
Thanks!

Honestly, i would take rain any day of the week over the ridiculous heat we’ve had up here in the northeast! It got up to 98 here in Hartford, CT before the sky finally let loose last night. It rained and poured and thundered till the wee hours of the morn…but now it’s much more comfortable out! It’s amazing how much cooler 80 degrees feels in comparison to 98. Glorious.

The weather channel gets Asheville wrong sometimes. Keep an eye on this site. They usually hit it pretty much on the head & I just like their forecast better for this weekend :) Even though Saturday does look like a bust.
