I think you deserve to feel worn out once in a while – you always have so much going on!
It looks like your overnight oats are definitely a winner based on your score card! I’ve been wanting them lately, but I keep forgetting to prepare them before I hit the hay. I need to write myself a note for tonight!
Those Oats sure look like gold medal worthy to me!
I just can’t get on board with the cold oatmeal, lol
I did make Overnight Oats a few times with about 15 second warm up in the microwave, which was okay, hehe
I made overnightbpatsbfor the first time in a long time this morning. Forgot how awesome they are! Today was a mocha flavor… Using my Sunday leftover coffee. ????
I’ve also struggled with acclimating to cold oatmeal – I think I’ll try slow cooker oatmeal soon though!
Maybe the tiredness is to make you rest more now because baby is coming soon?!
I think so!
Looks like an A+ meal to me! Not long now until your little one is here!
Yesss frozen berries! My favorite super-convenient yogurt addition. I have three bags in the freezer right now, especially good for packed lunches (if you have a super leak proof container, of course).
Votes for Women! Reminds me of Mary Poppins!
I’m warming up to the overnight oats…no pun intended! It can’t be beat for the convenience; I’m just working out to get it just as I like it. I’ve tried it a couple of times but, being lactose intolerant, I find the taste of the soy yogurt I use too overpowering. So I’ve started adding a little bit less yogurt (and may leave it out in the next try) and some more flavorings (vanilla and cinnamon). I like the texture to be on the thick side as it is, so I don’t mind the missing yogurt. Perhaps you have some yogurt substitution suggestions? Or a post where you’ve already discussed that?
If I leave out the yogurt, I add more chia seeds to thicken it up. But it’s still good with just milk too!
Thanks! Will try the chia next time.
I do it with a mashed banana or a grated apple in place of the yogurt (plus one tbs of chia and some milk) as I find the consistency a bit too thin with just milk and chia.
woo hoo! Gold Medal Oats! GMO!
You are almost at the finish line! Those oats look like the perfect way to get you going!
Yum! Overnight oats
Yum! Overnight oats
I get so excited everyday checking your blog if you’re going to have a post that the baby is coming!!
Haha I love these meal score cards!!
Pregnancy has been really been wearing me out! Sleeping is getting harder & harder, because I am so uncomfortable!

I actually love the texture of overnight oats, it’s the temperature that weirds me out. I think my tastebuds get confused! “Oatmeal is supposed to be hot!” Yours always look delicious though!
Such gorgeous pictures! I love crumbling granola bars into my oats:)
I still haven’t tried overnight oats yet. It is on the list of things to try!
I am not a huge fan of overnight oats–or really oatmeal in general. No idea why! But I do love a good smoothie!
The only thing I like better than overnight oats is a good old doughboy smoothie.
I love the score card and the “overnight oats for the win!” – cute
Kudos to you because I would only give an A+ for convenience if someone else was making it for me!
I was CRAVING overnight oats this morning.. unfortunately, it never hits me at night when they would actually have time to prep!
Why would some of us think texture = F? Sogginess from frozen fruit or overnight oats in general?
Because some people just have doughy, sticky textures. I happen to love them!
I am *addicted* to my OO for breakfast.
But I actually think of this more as texturized yogurt rather than oatmeal, though, because of the temperature and the fact that this is so much dessert-like (with the fruit and “cream” – aka milk and yogurt). When I explain it like that to people, they seem to be more interested.
Yeah, I agree. It’s not really an oatmeal so much as a thick, yogurt dish.
THE MUG!!! Where did you get it?! Is this an Etsy find? This would be the perfect gift for a friend and colleague of mine.
I bought it in Newport, RI at one of the mansions there. Post is here: http://www.katheats.com/built-vanderbilt
Thanks!
I had the same breakfast! Can’t beat a breakfast that you can wake up to completely made
I adore overnight oats, I never understood why the texture freaked some people out.
Mmm, overnight oats are always a winner in my book!
I love oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit. Usually I do enjoy most textures. But the one time I made OO, it reminded me of cold soggy cereal, and I was disappointed how little I liked it since it’s so convenient. Any tips for OO beginners out there?
I’m jealous of your granola bar! My local Great Harvest Bread Co just closed recently and now I will have to find somewhere else to get awesome granola.
oh bummer : (
