Fulfilling Day

August 3, 2008

All that morning activity followed by quality meals and quality husband time made today feel so fulfilling. Like a good summer day should. And somehow having a clean yard makes me happy like having a clean house does! Like I am surrounded by organization on all four sides

Unfortunately tonight is another mystery recipe for the cookbook – and it was GOOD! You can probably guess some of the ingredients, but you can’t see them all!

Followed by the most perfect bowl of All-Natural Mint Chocolate Chip.

I submitted the crepe video in Recipezaar’s Video Contest . I didn’t realize until after that my video is about 8 minutes too long to be considered, but it’s still fun because you can see it online :)

Did the publisher give you parameters for recipes/ingredients, or do you just get to play with things as you see fit?

The mystery dish looks delish! And I love mint chocolate chip ice cream, especially if it is all natural :)

Do I see sweet potatoes in that mystery dish?? Yum!!

Aww, sorry that your video is too long for the contest – I bet it would have won!! :0)

Aww you should post one of your other recipe videos. They will be dazzled with your southern accent.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am glad Matt’s crackers passed KERF’s tough criteria!

I am so excited for the details to all these new recipes. They have all looked so interesting and delicious. When do you anticipate that the cookbook with all the recipes with be available?

Ooo, I have so many more oat ideas but no time to create them and take pictures!
I’ll just have to let you know after the winners are announced tomarrow. [Or Tuesday?]
This dinner does looks yummy.
Makes me want a big salad too.

i know what you mean about the satisfying days and the happiness of being surrounded by organization. i’m in the middle of a major cleanup of one room and i’m thrilled with the progress so far. i hate cleaning but i absolutely LOVE being around clean. i feel like i can’t think properly when i’m amidst mess (which was rough in university when i didn’t have time to do much tidying!).

I also love being around clean, makes me feel more relaxed.

That salad looks good!

that ice cream looks fab, and it was definitely well deserved after the workout and hard yard work today :)

Ah! When is this cook book going to come out?? I can’t wait to purchase one :)

Is there going to be a need for recipe testers for the cookbook? If so, I’m totally game!

BethT ,
I have lots of “rules” which is definitely the most challenging. I’m used to unlimited ingredients and just throwing things together but with the recipes I am pretty limited (to 10 ingredients, which is the HARDEST part!!) and somewhat by nutritional info.

HangryPants ,
I wanted to post the oatmeal pancake video but I don’t have them anymore! Once they went on You Tube I deleted them. I don’t really know why…

Ashley Suzanne,
It doesn’t come out until 2010 – but that’s not too far away since we’re almost to 2009!

Jill – GlossyVeneer,
Haha. If I ever do my own cookbook you know the blog will be the first place to come for recipe testers!
