Herrrreeee weeeeeeee gooooooooooo!! The start to my third-to-last week
I’m feelin’ that wine a bit this AM
But breakfast always helps. And coffee!
Matt, the Superstar, got up to make me Great Harvest Pancakes this morning ! I was expecting oats and came down to find golden circles sizzling on the stovetop.
This was with the Great Harvest Pancake Mix, which is 100% whole grain. You just add water, egg and a tbsp of oil to prep for cooking. The mix was fabulous. We’ll def. want to have it at our bakery!
He made four different kinds:
- Flax, which I topped with Maranatha Choco Almond Butter
- Coconut, which I topped with coconut butter
- Pecan, which I topped with Pecan Pie Butter (!!!)
- Peanut Butter, which I topped with Cinnamon Vanilla Sunflower Butter
Only about a tsp of topping each to try to keep the portions reasonable. They were all IN-credible!! I think the crunchy pecans with the Pecan Pie Butter was my fav
I ate 3.25/4 and shared the rest with Matt. They were quite filling!
Creme Brulee Caftea!
See ya lata!

Those pancakes look perfect. I am sure the coconut is sooo good on there.
Oh My My! Such a niiiiice breakfast, especially for a monday morning! What better way to start the week!
How lucky you are! Those look fabulous
wow..what a spread for Monday morning! Nice work!
I had pancakes this morning too! Made mine from scratch and topped them with fresh strawberries. DELICIOUS! Yours look fantastic.
What a way to wake up on a Monday. Those all look scrumptious, and the toppings sound so good too. I usually stick to plain pancakes with bananas and maple syrup. I’m a pancake purist.
I didn’t know great harvest made pancake mix! I’ll have to look out for it
Wow, Great Harvest has everything! Those look amazing. Have fun on the first day of you’re third-to-last week!
Mmm…sometimes pancakes are one of my favorite breakfasts, although I haven’t had them in ages. They’re definitely going on my weekly menu.
Those pancakes look so nice and thick! I love the idea of topping each one with a different nut butter. You’re lucky to have so many different kinds at your disposal. Do you know if all Great Harvest stores carry this mix…or is it possible to order online? I just adore whole grain mixes, and while I love my Kodiak mix, this seems like a yummy alternative!
I think a lot of them do, but I’m not sure.
Yummy! What a sweet thing to do and an excellent way to start the week!
Ahhh! It’s like a pancake sampler! Or a pancake degustation with matching toppings! So much fun! Exclamation mark!
Great post last night.
I really thought yesterday was fathers’ day!
The presentation of those pancakes is gorgeous. I love that you made four kinds- the coconut butter one is my favorite! Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Yummm! I haven’t had pancakes in a while. I’m looking for more ways to try the coconut butter, so I might need to try this.

You’re so lucky to have a hubby who cooks breakfast in the morning…mine can barely handle pouring his own bowl of cereal!
Pancakes on a Monday morning has to be the best way to start out a week!
that’s the best way to start the day
I’m feeling the effects of some wine from yesterday too! After my graduation, there was a lot of prosecco and Montalcino flowing… oh well, it was a celebration – time to get back to reality (and water!)
Can’t wait till you open up your bakery! I live in Wilmington but often visit my sister up in Raleigh (she goes to NC State). I’ll have to swing by once it’s open to visit the famous KERF Great Harvest
The pancakes look great. I know what I’m making for breakfast!
What a delicious breakfast! I love that Matt made a variety!
Your pancake consumption amount is like a GPA
In that case you shoulda eaten the whole plate….jkjkjk
LOL!
What a nice hubby you have! The pancakes look great. I noticed a Great Harvest when I was driving around last week–I’ll need to stop by. You’re moving to Charlottesville? Nice. Welcome to Virginia.

Those pancakes sound and look delicious! Love all the different toppings:)

I haven’t had pancakes in forever, those look AMAZING!
Those pancakes look perfect, what a wonderful husband you have
Kath,
Apparently I haven’t been reading the blog long enough to know the answer to this question…
I’ve seen the bears pop up on your blog time and time again! Is there a story that goes with them? A reason they go on so many of your trips? I think they’re adorable and a fun addition; I was just wondering about their particular significance to you!
They’re just a quirk of our family!
Those pancakes look absolutely amazing!! Ah…almost lunch time. haha
WOW what a great way to start the work week!!! Major bonus points. hehe
What a killer breakfast! Delicious!
Gorgeous pancakes! I would have been forced to eat all 4/4
I haven’t had coconut for a while; I could totally go for some. I love the color of your french press
Whoa! Now THAT’S a good way to start a day off! Those look incredible. Kudos to the man for making them for you. So sweet:)
Those look delicious! Pancakes never even cross my mind as a breakfast option, but I sure do wish I had someone to cook them up for me while I was still sleeping!
I love all the toppings you paired with the pancakes! It looks so gourmet!
YUM! What a special way to start the week!
Looks like a stellar breakfast! And by the way…..the picture in your coffee this morning looks like a jellyfish from Spongebob. (:
Wow, those pancakes looks beautiful and so professional. I want some!
YUM! Can you get that pancake mix at other Great Harvests?
I think many of them have it.
ha, better than how my morning started… mine started at the DENTIST!
i wanted to let you know that i learned how to make crema with a french press – a waiter demo’ed it while i was dining out this weekend – perhaps you already know this, but he said to get a better froth you should push the plunger slowly, only halfway, and then raise it again, and then slowly push it all the way down. i always just pushed it down right away.
Oh cool – I will try that out!
Hey Kath,
Where do you get all the fancy butters and which ones are your favorite?
You’ll have to wait for lunch tomorrow to find out!
