Morning!
We got out of bed to see Michelle + Ben off to work today while sipping on coffee.
We’re holding down the doggie fort! This is their foster dog, Freddie, who is ever-so-sweet and terrified of us. He’s been shaking in the corner since we came downstairs. Poor guy. He needs a home if you live nearby and want to adopt him!
Little Cooper must have had 5 cups of coffee before we came downstairs!
We’re having more toast with smashed banana for breakfast because it’s quick, easy and no-cook. I LOVE this breakfast (dough + cream + sticky PB + crunchy granola) so I don’t mind having it a few days in a row
Michelle had Trader Joe’s PB – a treat!
We’re gearing up for another Y2 Yoga class!! One more before we hit the [long] road back to Cville. I have to say, I didn’t want to leave Cville to come on this trip, but now I don’t want to leave Charlotte again – so many friends! But I’m sure when we get back in the Virginia hills we’ll feel right back at home.

Those doggies are too cute!
Have a great yoga class
Freddie looks like the cutest dog ever.
That picture of Freddie is SO CUTE. I would seriously adopt him if I lived closer…and if my apartment allowed pets. I really wish I could adopt a shelter dog at this point- there are so many out there that need good homes!
Oh, this post (and many of yours recently, actually!) makes me miss my dog! I still get to see her a few days a week when I visit my parents, but it’s not the same as having your pets with you every day
Those are the cutest puppies =)
Cute puppy!
Enjoy your yoga! And I agree that quick breakfasts like that are fabulous.
Freddie is super cute! What kind of dog is he?
Awww, I’ve always wanted to be a foster dog parent– but I think that would be so tough! Freddie looks like a sweetheart!
Aww Freddie!!!! He looks SO sad!
TWO super cute pup!
My husband dropped me off at work this morning since he has to pick me up and drop me off at the airport. We brought the little pup with us and it was a nice treat for my morning.
Now you can have two “homes”- it makes travelling better when you’re excited to get where you’re going AND when you come home.
Aww scared pups are so precious. I feel bad for them, but it makes them all the more cute. My dog is scared of his own shadow and we really have no idea why!!!
I wish I had a banana so I could eat that for breakfast right now!
what a great breakfast idea!
that dog is adorable! I would totally adopt him if I lived nearby (and if my husband wouldn’t kill me)
I wish I could have Freddie and Cooper — what sweet faces!
Have fun at yoga!
Awww, the doggies are so sweet! I wish we lived nearby, I’d love a doggy or 2.
That bread with the toppings looks amazing. YUM!
Cute doggies! They make me miss my own!
Oh those pups are too cute! Enjoy yoga and have a safe trip home!
what sweet little pups…
Poor Freddie! I wish I lived nearby, I can’t resist a doggie who needs a home!

My dog would have done the same thing. Bark like a guard dog, but hide in the corner while doing it! I love that fork!! Sassy!
I really hope that precious dog finds a home. I don’t think he would like my loud nyc home. Have a great day.
Love the doggie photos…they look so sweet. We’ve been wanting to adopt a pet but our schedules are too crazy. I wish!
Have a lovely yoga class and safe trip home!
The toast for breakfast is actually portable food if you add another bread to make it a sandwich. Good on the go food for when you are going to the gym early morning and headed straight to work. I’ve done it a few times
Aww! My family used to foster dogs when I was younger and it was such a cool experience! I would like to do that again when I have a house, time, and money
Freddie is too cute! I hope he finds a good home soon!
Glad you are able to go to one more yoga class before hitting the road. Safe travels today!
It felt good to pull back into C’ville yesterday and I think you will have the same experience. Have a great yoga session and safe drive!
So happy you are getting your yoga fix!!
YORKIES, i love yorkies! and tj’s peanut butter. but mostly yorkies!
I want to come and steal both those dogs! They are both so cute and sweet looking!
aw such cute doggies! I hope they’ll find a home soon!
I should read your blog before I make breakfast!! Otherwise I end up wishing I made what you had. That looks like a must-try breakfast combo … and the puppies are so adorable!!
omg those pups are adorable!! Love Cooper:)
aw, sweet little Freddie!! I just want to hug him.
That fork is so classy! Everything is bound to taste good when using it
those puppies are so adorable! Wish I was closer!
Love,

poor little guy! when we adopted our younger dog she had pretty big fear issues…the best thing is to be quiet and lay low and let him come to you! i’m sure he wouldn’t mind snuggling with you guys
Kath, I totally think you and Matt should take him home with you! I want to see more of him on your blog!
aww..my heart is breaking for the poor little scared puppy! I love puppies!
Everytime I see a dog up for adoption, I want to take them home and love them! But since we already have four pets in our tiny little house, I think my husband would freak out if I brought another one home. I can’t seem to resist! They are my weakness! One of our cats was like Freddie when we first adopted him. He wouldn’t let anybody touch him and would hiss at everybody, but he came around eventually and loves cuddling now.
So, when I first read your post title, I thought is said, “Doggie Fart.” Which is why I shouldn’t read things until I’ve had my morning oj.
Aww, Freddie looks too cute. He really does look terrified
I could never be a foster pet parent, I would end up taking them all in.
Have fun with the rest of the time with friends and be safe going back to Cville!
I say more cute dog pictures are required by all, especially those of us currently without canine love who need to live vicariously through you!
Love the doggies! And mashed banana toast!
It’s so fun to watch you travel and take picture of food on new dishes and in new spots. (not that your own bowls and home aren’t beautiful–they are!)
I’m at capacity with three cats in an apartment. (I volunteer at the SPCA. yeah, I know.) And one of them would probably slap that poor little guy around. But I hope his forever family finds him soon. He seems really sweet, and I hope gets all the love he deserves.
And he might have been abused, or else he’s just neurotic. There’s stuff you can do, but it depends on how much work you want to put in, or If you wait for his forever family. The dog whisperer guy actually has a lot of good advice on how to deal with neurotic dogs on his site. But I’m guessing that he mostly just needs time to trust you guys. If someone did slap him around, he just needs to trust humans again. He might never be fully ok, but he can learn to trust his family, I think.
And good for you guys for taking them in!
Oh, wait, this is at your friends’. lol! Sorry! But same advice to them.
I would SO adopt that dog if I lived nearby!! SO cute. Hope you had fun at yoga!
I read the title as “Doggie Fart”. I giggled because my sister’s dog has the worst farts EVER.
Awww I love those doggies. Poor big guy afraid of guests.
these dogs are so sweet!
it looks like you had so much fun last night at the concert
does matt not like bf?
that poor scared dog! i know a few like that….
Looks yum! I’m obsessed with putting things on toast, especially bananas, but I’ve never thought to smash it before spreading it on…good thinking
those dogs are seriously super cute – Freddie has the kindest eyes!
How would one go about adopting Freddie?!
I would email Michelle (you can find her address on her blog)
I like Copper’s cute hair cut! Have a great time at yoga!
This looks like a fast, easy breakfast idea. I think the dogs are eying it too!
you literally can’t go wrong with a pb&banana combo!!
Great breakfast idea!
Wow…that breakfast looks DELICIOUS!
both doggies look cute and the breakfast as well.wow..yumm!
Oh my goodness…..I wish I could adopt the Freddie! How would he like Australia? So cute and dear.

What a great way to leave town. It’s nice to see such enjoyment and excitement from a workout class.
What cute pups! I have a yorkie, which looks like what Cooper is too.
