Nothin’ going on around here. Absolutely nothing. Just some working, some reading, some lunch.
I think the above is a wrap. Or maybe a soft taco? Perhaps a burrito, although maybe those have to have beans? Nah. It’s probably not a quesadilla, although there is cheese involved. A roll up perhaps?
What I do know it is: a whole wheat tortilla filled with cheese, hard-boiled egg, tomato, greens and salt. It was delicious and gone in 2 minutes!
Served with nectarine –
And some yogurt spiked with Jam According to Daniel cherry jubilee!
I read more of Jenna’s book on the porch with lunch – I received a complimentary copy from her publisher. It’s a lovely memoir, and I am especially enjoying it because I remember so much of Jenna’s journey as a reader of her blog (I clearly remember the pumpkin whoopie pies!) My only wish was that the book had hyperlinks to corresponding blog posts with photos because I have vague memories of so many of the tales she included and would love to reread them online too : ) I definitely feel like we get to know the true Jenna behind her blog in the book.
Later gators!

Thank you, Kath!!! I am so glad you like the book
I can’t wait for my copy of Jenna’s book to arrive. Everyone’s loving it so far so I’m even more excited
Lunch looks yummy! I can’t wait to get her book, was planning on going to the book store tonight.
Yummy lunch Kath!
I guess I didn’t know that Jenna wrote a book – that’s cool! I’ll have to check it out.
I didn’t know she had a book?! Cool.
I believe I would say that is a wrap
lunch looks delicious. I adored Jenna’s book and gave it to my mom next to read (she also loved it!) Hope that baby pops right out
Hang in there! I was 2 weeks late with my first. Honestly, it was the longest 2 weeks because people kept asking me if I had the baby yet. I just wanted to wear a sign that said “Still pregnant!!” on it. I can’t imagine how you feel with the blog world waiting. Just keep comfort in knowing that he is healthy.
Man, I can just hear how ready you are for baby to be here. Come on buddy. Mommy is getting restless.
Yogurt with jam! You just gave me an idea. My mom dropped by this afternoon and gave me a bottle of homemade strawberry jam. I would like to do something different with it, and I guess I dropped by your blog at the right time. Thanks!
The calm before the storm! Enjoy your quiet day…they’re numbered now.
Nothing better than a good book to serve as means of distraction….hope your not cracking up x
Hope you are not getting to anxious/tired of waiting for something to happen. How did the doctor appt go yesterday afternoon? I am looking forward to picking up Jenna’s book this week. I checked at B&N on Monday but they did not have it so I might have to order it directly from Amazon (it has been on my wish list for months).
Lunch looked delicious, btw.
How cool! I had no idea she had a book.
Here’s to hoping it’s your water-breaking (and not the pin-drop) we hear soon!
The book sounds interesting! Looking forward to it!
what? you can’t here Levi’s scream from there? ha.
have a good restful afternoon.
Hahhaaha. Actually I can!!
Just kidding
You are very patient! I admire you. I cannot wait to read Jenna’s book…and I plan to go to her book signing in SF. Woo hoo.
A salad wrap!
Love hard boiled eggs. So versatile and quick for lunch!

Can’t wait for your baby news and can’t wait to read Jenna’s book!!!
I’m excited to read Jenna’s book! I’ve been a follower of hers for a long time and am so excited for this new chapter in her life.
Is that tea you’re drinking there? I love a good tea, and recently a friend turned me onto this organic honey from Ghana, Africa. It’s called Aseda Raw Honey and I swear, it’s the most all-natural tasting honey I’ve ever had. I find myself using it with everything now. Breakfast. Lunch. Tea, of course. I think it’s worth checking out, and they have a great cause. I found them on kickstarter, so hopefully they’ll be on a shelf near you soon. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964100669/buzz-aseda-wild-honey-to-shelves-nationwide
Great review of Jenna’s book and I can’t wait to pick up my copy. It’s definitely on my to-read list!

I can’t even imagine just waiting for something to happen! At least you’ve got some good food!?
This lunch looks so simple and delish!
I made overnight oats with peaches in a sunflower butter jar and it was delicious!! I’ve had overnight oats before but never in a jar. I was so sad because I’ve thrown away so many nut butter jars in the past. lol Thanks to you I have a new favorite breakfast!
My buddha bowl from open sky arrived today and I am so excited to use it tomorrow for my morning oatmeal! yum
Your wrap looks really good! I like the combo.
Oh the suspense! I read somewhere that lavender oil can induce labor?!
So, pretty much unrelated but would you weigh in on your opinion on the new study stating that (essentially) eggs are almost as bad as smoking? I’d love to get your thoughts.
Matt mentioned that to me today and I thought it was some kind of April Fools joke. I can tell you that without taking a look at it I find it completely ridiculous.
My opinion exactly! (and I am studying to be an RD too!)
Ana
I just picked up her book today and I can’t wait to read it! I just need to finish “Blood, Bones and Butter” first!
I’m reading Jenna’s book on my Nook right now
Who needs to define what it is?! I am sure it is great!
