Convenience Store

Ok, I lied. No photos….yet. We got stuck at Target and missed the natural light and you know how dingy a room at night looks! I promise tomorrow.

We made HUGE progress today. Downstairs is pretty much set up. Computer desk built. Computer up. Furniture arranged. INTERNET WORKING!!! ($60 wireless router… :( ) Kitchen set up. Dining room set up. Bowls organized. My feet are killing me!

After lunch I ate that peach, we showered and headed out. So much to explore in Cville and we’re stuck at home (by choice ;) )

Target was a bit of a drive, but it was a nice one and we got everything we needed…including a big clothing rack for my third bedroom Queen’s Room. More on that later!

Next stop was Whole Foods for a few groceries. We had planned to get something to grill tonight (grill is now set up!) but it was 6:30 by the time we were in Whole Foods and how convenient to just pick up dinner!!

I’m so glad you guys are getting settled in. Your new place looks awesome with the porch and hardwood floors. Can’t wait to see how you guys have decorated. I am most excited to see C’ville through you since it’s my home town and I haven’t been back in years. Best of luck with everything. Hope you secure a new location soon!

Our Whole Foods is a hike but I can only get some things there so we make a monthly trip and get the salad bar for dinner. One of our favorite dates.

I’m consistently impressed by your talented organizational skills, it always takes me a few weeks to get settled into a new place.

I can’t enter a Whole Foods without hitting up their cold foods bar, so I fully understand your impulse dinner selection.

Hi Kath

Sorry, I am “behind” on your life a bit :) Just wondering whayyou chose C-ville…was it because of the original hope for the bakery location? Or other reason? Good luck with the work you have wit tthe move.

Reply

34 Kath July 29, 2010 at 6:38 am

We chose it because it just seems to suit our personalities really well. And the bakery WILL be here – just in a different location.

Very excited to see pictures! I’m in love with the porch swing :) I’ll be in Cville visiting family this weekend… cannot WAIT for Wholefoods, haha! Where was that place you stopped for gelato? Is it the ice cream place on the downtown mall? I told my boyfriend we would be making a stop either there, or that place where y’all got the brownie batter smothered ice cream… oh lord… ;)

I refuse to pay Whole Foods prices for those salads, even though they make me drool. I love the porch swing. I miss that about living in the Midwest. It isn’t really a California thing.

44 Jessica July 29, 2010 at 10:18 am

Ah, Whole Foods. I finally went to the flagship store in Austin. It was overwhelming, but in a good way. Totally convenient.

45 Sarah July 29, 2010 at 10:24 am

I can’t seem to resist Whole Foods prepared food when I’m there, either, but it’s the hot bar that’s the biggest temptation for me!
