Our day took us from Virginia…
To New York! (Concrete jungle where dreams are made offffff)
To Boston!
Funny story: I was admiring a girl’s suitcase on the plane, and then paused while she put it in the overhead compartment. We had a moment as I waited for her to finish. When she got it back down after the flight, she said: “I read your blog!”
SO FUN when that happens! We ended up taking the T together into the city. So nice to meet you Caitlin!
We made our way to Larbs’s apartment – luckily she had a half day today so she was there to greet us!
After a meet n greet, we went out for a walk in search of some warm tea. It’s not that cold here – it’s just super duper windy!
FYI, Bostonians, we’re planning a meet up on Sunday night at 8pm at Espresso Royale at 44 Gainsborough Street. Come one, come all to chat.
I found some tea – a Vanila Rooibos Misto
We strolled down Newbury for a bit and stopped into the Boston Olive Oil Company where Larbs sends me holiday and birthday gifts! We just got pumpkin spice and black cherry vinegars for my birthday and I LOVE them! (FYI, you can ship them to you for $11 and they are $14 each – totally worth it in my opinion!)
My favorites were Coconut and Natural Butter Olive oil – SO GOOD!!
And we’re off to dinner!!

We were just in Boston a few weeks ago on our way back from Vegas. Keep warm!!
It’s FAH-REEZING here in DC — betting it’s even colder in Boston. I’m so ready for sweatpants, tea and a fireplace.
Boston looks so pretty!
AH enjoy ERC, be sure to get a whole wheat everything with hummus for me.
That sounds like an awesome store. I wanna go!

That’s so cool that you were recognized! If I were to see any of my favorite bloggers, I may freak out a little.
Glad to hear you arrived safe and sound. Have fun tonight!
Shots of vinegar and olive oil? Sounds delicious!
so funny about the girl and the suitcase! i get recognized a lot from acting stuff, but just recently have started being approached via the blog, which i think is MUCH more exciting!
Hi from NYC! I didn’t know you’d be stopping over today
… however briefly! It must be so weird to be recognized by people- but it happens to you a lot now! Superstar!
Hey Kath! Just want to double check that it’s 8pm? I’ll be there either way, but I want to know if I have to set my alarm clock or not
8pm!!!!!!! Just fixed it!
Oooh thanks for the new tips of where to go in Boston!
Ahh cooking with those vinegars/oils would be amazing! I want some now!
I told ya you were more famous that you know!
Enjoy Beantown! That is where NKOTB was born, LOL!
Come watch the Santa Speedo Run this Saturday on Boyleston street… I’ll be running in a bikini…for charity of course!!
Kath, I live up in Boone and we have an oil/vinegar place like that here. It’s called Art of Oil – downtown on Howard’s Street. They have like 40 different flavored oils and vinegars and offer free tastings. Everything is delicious!!! You should check it out next time you’re in the mountains.
I don’t work for or own the company – I just like to spread the word about local businesses.

Boston isn’t cold?? Are you sure?
It’s freezing in Florida girl
Looks like you are having so much fun travelling! enjoy!
Hilarious! Your afternoon was spent right in my stomping grounds – I agree with Emily (above) it is really neat to see what other people like about your home town. Welcome to Boston! I’m going to try to make it out on Sunday night too.
I had my first experience last week meeting someone who reads my blog but I don’t know last week – it’s kind of weird!
Coconut is the best! Im dragging my parents there when Im home for break.
I am super fantasizing about what that coconut balsamic must taste like!
Same here!
Have a great time! Boston is my favorite US city
You’re a friggin’ celebrity sister!
Coconut balsamic vinegar?!? I’m thinking an early christmas present for myself….
Glad you’re here! I haven’t been to the Boston Olive Oil Company yet, but it looks like a great place to check out!
It is frickin’ cold here with the wind. I was going through the South End and thought my ears were going to fall off. Enjoy your weekend! Look forward to meeting you on Sunday.
What everyone else said – It’s freeeezing out in Boston! I go to Northeastern also and I know for a fact that it’s freezing outside! I’m pretty new to the blogosphere but am going to try to come to the meetup at ERC – it’s about a 3 minute walk from my apartment so I really have no excuse
It would be great to meet you!
I’m going to try to make the meetup on Sunday! I can’t believe you don’t think it’s cold, though – it went from cold to freezing in about 60 seconds. I’m looking forward to it warming up a little this weekend!
I’ve been dying to try out some flavoured balsamic vinegars! I’ll have to check if that place has a fig flavoured one!
i LOVE the sister pictures with the boots…the sizing on the side is great. your photography skills have come a long way
get it, girl!
Ah, I miss Boston! Have a great time up there!!
interesting…I live about 45 minutes from stillwater, Mineesota, and they have an Olive Oil Store identical to the one you show here! Only it’s called Stillwater Olive Oil Company..and yes, it has those big urns full of vinegars, oils, and plenty of bread for sampliing
It’s always a “must stop” when we get through Stillwater…
love,
cathy b. @ brightbakes
P.S.LOVE the tuscan herb blend!
mmmm ERC! My favorite place for a bagel and coffee on a weekend morning!! Lots of hipsters and students getting their work done! Enjoy
Flavored olive oil intrigues me!
