Cloudy With A Chance Of Snow!

January 29, 2010

Hi hi!

This day us flying by. And breakfast held me 5 hours and more!

We’ve been in personnel meetings all morning. An important leaning lesson in foodservice management!

We broke for lunch at 11:30 and I had a nice conversation about the movie “Cloudy with a Chance if Meatballs” with some third graders over lunch

On the line today were baked beans, broccoli, pears, and CHERRY SPARKLE!! Plus BBQ and quesadillas. I brought a yogurt that was expired from my fridge to have as well.

Saved my pear for later!

They are calling for snow and ice this weekend!! 6-10 inches here in Salisbury but only ice predicted for Charlotte :( I want to go sledding!!

The weekend is HERE!!!!

maybe you’ll get a snow day monday just when in school when we’re all little and lived for those days…

Oooh sledding sounds like fun.
I was laughing to myself yesterday because I thought about you when my 8th grade violin student showed up to her lesson in a side ponytail. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!

So it’s okay to eat expired yogurt? Til how long?

11 Kath January 29, 2010 at 3:08 pm

Well I don’t want to say it’s OK! But I’ve heard the exp. is more of a “recommended to use by” and I eat it until it doesn’t look or smell good.

We’re also supposed to get ice… boo! But i’m used to it, as long as the power stays on.

I loved “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” when i was younger!

I love little kid conversations. They are so much fun for me on a Sunday morning. Conversations about Green Goblin have been the high point of sunday morning breakfasts at church.

And cherry sparkle looks like an awesome dessert. Yeah!

Ice storms aren’t great for sledding, but they are great for sparkle! They’ll turn your whole neighborhood into a icy palace! The sparkle cherries will feel right at home.

These school lunches are really amazing — all I can remember from back in the day was French bread pizza and milk bags. Gross!

We just had snow here too, nowhere near enough to sled on though – just the right amount to be annoying :P
Have a good afternoon!

In my neck of the woods (or rather, lack thereof) it’s absolutely FREEZING. (-22 degrees F with wind speed @ 23mil/hr D’:) I watch with dread as even more snow and ice heads my way and threatens to dip the temperature even more. Oh, how I wish I’m a migrant goose, how much simpler life would be.

But please, I’m quite curious to hear more about your conversation with the 3rd graders. :D I find that elementary students are the best conversationalists – so refreshingly honest (naively blunt even!) and inquisitive, with the most imaginative minds!

It is supposed to be cold this weekend here in Houston as well. The 45 mile bike ride tomorrow is not going to be very pleasant.
