Not sure if it was the high-carb breakfast or the long run or both! But I was hungry just a few hours after finishing my breakfast coffee.

Enter a fab and filling lunch!

First up, a stuffing salad. This Figgy Mushroom Sourdough dressing gets better and better! I served it hot over a bed of arugula dressed with olive oil, salt, honey and ground flax.

On the side, a pumpkin yogurt.

A container of Voskos Honey (purchased with a free coupon) topped with pumpkin, cinnamon and Hail Merry orange cranberry grawnola.

It’s that time of year where beverages must be served hot.

Earl Grey in my Tuffy tea steeper.

looks like I’m going to have to give that stuffing recipe a try. The way it is, leftover stuffing happens to be one of my top comfort foods…all dough-y and sage-y..yum…

Hi Kath!

Today is my first day clicking through your blog, and I have to say I love it! That Marie Claire article is what brought me here, and after coming to see this blog for myself, I am really glad my skeptical self gave you (and the other five girls) a chance!

I completing my undergrad in Dietetics at the University of Delaware, and graduate in the Spring (AHH!) and I love finding new recipes and trying new foods. I definitely want to give some of your recipes a try! They looks delicious! (I especially can’t wait to see what you do with all those cans of pumpkin.)

Keep doing what you do. I hope that silly article made more people like me come to see for themselves and absolutely fall in love with what you have to say!

Welcome, and so glad you came by!

is that a really large tea contraption or is it deceiving? i feel like there wouldn’t be any room for water in.

5 Kath October 16, 2010 at 2:37 pm

It’s not that large, the water goes through the holes

6 Esse October 16, 2010 at 2:31 pm

Ohh, yay for the Cheecago mug!! And I like the tea steeper…just might have to get one!

Lounging sounds like a perfect idea…Off to lounge as well!

8 Michelle (The Runner's Plate) October 16, 2010 at 2:59 pm

I’ve also been drinking a lot of hot beverages to try and stay warm.

9 hippierunner October 16, 2010 at 2:59 pm

Ooh, I imagine that dressing is one of those things that just gets better with age, once the flavors all have more time to hang out together!

Does that stuffing keep well? I’ve never enjoyed leftover bread dishes but you’re tempting me to try this one!

It hasn’t been that cold here lately (surprising, since it’s Minnesota), so I’m still drinking most of my beverages cold. I’m looking forward to those frosty mornings when all I want is a mug of tea!

13 lynn (The Actors Diet) October 16, 2010 at 3:13 pm

i want that stuffing! i mean, dressing!

14 Natalia - a side of simple October 16, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Perfect lunch to put the chill in the day but keep the chill off from the weather!

15 Mara @ What's for Dinner? October 16, 2010 at 4:04 pm

HELL YEAH Chicago mug :)

16 Mary @ Bites and Bliss October 16, 2010 at 4:09 pm

Chill- that’s exactly how Saturdays should be.

17 chelsey @ clean eating chelsey October 16, 2010 at 4:15 pm

Your Saturday sounds exactly like mine – right now I’m waiting for a load of laundry to finish with my feet up on the ottoman in my slippers. I may or may not have taken a shower yet… I’m going with may not have.

18 Anna S October 16, 2010 at 4:26 pm

Your lunch looks delicious!! I need to make some pumpkin yogurt. I haven’t used any of my cans yet. I’m not sure what I’m saving them for.

19 Hands in Namaste October 16, 2010 at 4:38 pm

That mushroom topping looks fab. Wish I liked arugula, but i absolutely HATE it! Can’t get past that bitter taste!!

20 stacey-healthylife October 16, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Stuffing always get’s better and I love enjoying it for days.

21 Cara Craves... October 16, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Is that Chicago mug from Starbucks?
I have a very similar looking one for Korea.

22 Kath October 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Yep! Courtesy of Mara!

23 Charmaine @ Perfectly Picked October 16, 2010 at 6:51 pm

The salad looks delicious. Loving the warm beverages, too. Currently on my second green tea!

24 Hannah October 16, 2010 at 6:59 pm

I always get confused when you talk about “dressing” – as an Australia, that term only means salad dressing… we call what you call dressing “stuffing”. But regardless of linguistic differences, yours sounds so tasty!

25 J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) October 17, 2010 at 6:23 am

That little glass of yogurt looks so sophisticated; like a fancy dessert. :)

26 Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin October 17, 2010 at 7:36 am

It’s definitely that time of year for hot drinks. I love getting to try out so many new teas in the fall/winter since I go through my tea so quickly!

27 Anne@ Food Loving Polar Bear October 17, 2010 at 9:11 am
