Catered Lunch

Karen brought over lunch today! I had plans to eat some leftovers, but when she started making sandwiches I had to partake. I popped in some kale chips to compliment the meal.

[Matt was busy tending to the brew!]

We had delicious grilled hummus + turkey sandwiches with avocado, hummus, tomato and spinach (Karen and I split one, as they were quite large)

Everyone liked their kale chips!

Fruit for the nutrients!

After lunch Andrew and I ventured to Michelle + Ben’s where Gilbert is staying while Kate + Nate are in Disney! I offered to give the doggies a mid-day walk -

Kath, do you have any cute shoes??? Booties, flats, skinny boots? All i ever see you wear is sneakers.

27 Kath November 25, 2009 at 5:49 pm

Uh, yeah? I wore boots last night. I just got back from walking the dogs. Didn’t really want to wear heels for that…

Who cares what kind of shoes Kath wears, Gloria? I don’t remember her asking for your fashion advice!

Reply

34 Katie November 26, 2009 at 10:15 am

Gloria -

Your comment to Kath speaks volumes about you – you clearly spend your time engaged in frivilous activities such as reading fashion magazines and gain satisfaction from making unkind remarks to others. (Next time you lash out, you should probably check your spelling so as not to cause further shame on yourself.)

Thank you for the budget spreadsheet. I actually just woke up this morning thinking, “I really need to make a spreadsheet to get my budget on paper rather than just keep it in my head,” and lo and behold, you made an awesome video on budget spreadsheets!!! I’m thankful for your helpfulness and wonderful website. Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! :)

Great videos Kath! I find budgeting to be very empowering. I particularly like the idea of the savings “recovery” if you fall short one month

Thanks for all the nerd KERF videos! Love them. Can you do a video on decluttering as well? ;-)

o, btw, if you select three columns (it doesn’t matter if they have text in them) and right click, Google Docs (and excel!) let you insert three columns at the same time, so you don’t have to repeat it three times.

Reply

49 Kath November 26, 2009 at 11:47 am

I knew you could do that in Excel – didn’t think about it Google docs! I’m planning to do a house video soon.

Kath your Nerd KERF Budget is wonderfully done! I am an accountant (in the process of getting my CPA) and I do this every month as well. It is soo important for people to keep track of their finances and spending especially in GOOD times so that we can prepare for the not so good times like the economy now. You are going to make an awesome RD, but you would have made a great accountant too!!
