Bump In The Sand

May 27, 2012

Holla!

Karen, Matt and I went on a long beach walk this morning and then we settled into the sand for some book time under our umbrella-ella-ella.

Baby bump or beer belly!?

2012-05-27 12.02.41

I spent the morning with my hat pulled waaaaay down so I could see my phone to read. Bonus of reading on a Kindle app: no book pages to flap in the wind! Con is shade is necessary to see.

We came in for lunch at 1pm

I was in a sweet – savory mood and had a slice of Whole Wheat Cinnamon Chip topped with banana and sunbutter, a beach, los chips, and a lettuce wrap of ham and pepperjack. And more chips!

I can’t wait to read my e-book on the beach, I hate holding a page open in the wind!

I have a kindle and absolutely love it! I just have the basic one, which is perfect for the beach!

i must have been a sight reading on my phone on vacation. i didn’t wear my hat, so i resorting to a lot of squinting and miscellaneous items to shade the screen. then i went back to my actual book… all 20 pounds of game of thrones.

Yummy! Looks like you’re having the perfect beach get-away!! Soak up some sun!

That slice of toast looks so so delicious. I think sweet and savory is the way to go for lunches in the sun; you get a taste of everything!

I have to ask if you don’t mind!- what does the baby bump “feel” like? Is it heavy, does your skin feel stretched, do you feel bloated, does it feel ‘weird’ or like you?…I’ve always wondered!

It feels kind of like the texture of a thigh.. haha. Hard underneath and softer on top. It also changes “consistency” throughout the day… Sometimes hard and small and other times hard and bigger and others softer!

Crazy! Thanks :)

Your tummy looks so small in that pic. :)

You should really consider a Nook Color. I just love mine! I know you don’t want that extra item to have to carry around but I bet you’d find it much easier to read on the larger screen. Plus, you download books from any public library. :)

By your pics, you couldn’t ask for better weather considering Beryl is nearby. :) You picked the right weekend. :)

Your baby bump looks adorable, Kath! Looks like you’re having a wonderful trip so far! The food looks fantastic as always! :) I love my kindle. The screen is easy to read, even in the sun!

It is so wonderful to see a “family” enjoying each others company. Love it!

I love reading my Kindle for the same reason–so much easier to read outside on a windy day! Love your suit–you look fantastic!

You look awesome and so glad you are enjoying some sun and R & R. I know that beach is hoppin’ this weekend! Hope you don’t get caught by the drawbridge too much. I know lots of boats are out and about this weekend too!

I always bring my nook with me, even though I could use an app on my phone, for that exact reason. Also, smart phones and e-readers? New mom essentials for night feedings, so great to be able to read a book with one hand!

Enjoy the beach! Love that you are still rocking a bikini with the ‘belly’ Don’t have to worry about ‘sucking it in’…not that you should anyway! :)

I love that you typed beach instead of peach! Haha, how can you not with that beautiful view. I’m loving these pictures. I’m going to the Outerbanks in September and I’m getting even more stoked. I’ve never been that far east so I’m really excited.

Lettuce wraps make me happy. But cinnamon chip bread isn’t exactly a downer, either. :)

SO i have to ask… reading on the kindle, does that mean you started 50 Shades?? Thoughts?!

I started it…the sample. Hate the writing…intrigued to see where it goes so not giving up yet

It would be nice to Not have the pages flapping in the breeze! Still considering a Nook, but haven’t decided yet.

If I were you, I’d get a regular Kindle and then you don’t need the shade to read. I love mine for that reason. Hubs has the fancy Kindle Fire, but you can’t see a thing on it outside.

It’s not maternity – it’s just Athleta! Very supportive though
