Brain Surge

August 18, 2012

I was up at 4am totally excited about giving birth. Too bad I’m not in labor, nor may I even be close to it! Just typical hormonal brain surge.

After my juice swig failed me for the first time in this whole pregnancy, I was awake for almost 2 hours. I finally started to get hungry, so I went into the kitchen for a small mug of cereal – and that put me right back to sleep!

Maybe I was just hungry all along.

Thankful that I slept from 6-9am, so while I feel a bit off, I think I got my full night’s rest. I had crazy dreams, including a really vivid dream about the baby – I was holding him a few weeks old and it made me want to hold him in real life more than ever!

Off to be spontaneous!

Oh Kath, I know what you are saying. Very common to become desperate in those last few weeks. Can’t wait to see your baby’s face right? This longing makes the actual moment all the more precious! We all can’t wait to meet the little one too!

I was always awake at night the last few weeks of my pregnancies. I think it is your hormones preparing you to handle those sleepless nights in your future! So exciting.

It’s so hard to wait to go into labor. I think the last 2 weeks of each of my pregnancys dragged on because of the unknown. You are going to do great!!

I know this is random and totally unrelated to the post. But can you perhaps do a products you use, specifically any hair products, makeup, any toiletries that are all natural or organic. I am trying to be more clean in my products…and would love any tips/products you use and love…thanks! :)

Congrats to you by the way-what an exciting time for you!

I’m only about 50/50 natural products. I love the Alba Sea Minerals line for all of my facial stuff. I hate natural shampoos and use Suave at the moment – but that’s always changing. I use Dove soap and deodorant, but also Dr. Brommers body wash. I like to mix it up! Bare Minerals is my make up of choice, and my other make up is all pretty standard – although I love the Cover Girl Naturals mascara!

Totally exciting! Enjoy being baby free for whatever time you have left. Then enjoy your baby when he comes! Due dates are calculated weird so don’t freak out if you end up going over.
