Made this with almond milk, 1 extra mashed banana in the wet ingredients, no applesauce (didn't have any) and no sugar on top-turned out great...although I couldn't stop eating it, more like 2 servings instead of 4 for me! :)

Kath this has become a staple for my family. The basic portions allow for much experimentation. I mostly use mashed bananas and shredded apple, but also throw in almond meal. It is a great make ahead breakfast option. Even traveling I just added bisquick instead of baking powder and it still came out great. Love your site.

Ok, I have to admit I recently went to a hockey game and sat in an "all-you-can-eat" seat...some friends wanted to go and I didn't want to be the party pooper! It was just as you imagine- all kinds of people and families eating unbelievable amounts of HOT DOGS. Ew. My husband ate a pretty gross amount and I threatened to make him sleep on the couch. Personally, I had a diet coke and some popcorn...and would have rather spent the few extra bucks on better seats instead of on unlimited amounts of hot dog, popcorn, and soda!

rhodeygirl,
Yep, Quaker Old Fashioned is what I use.

Z,
So glad you like the blog :)

Amanda ,
I'm not sure about the Quick Oats - you might need to add more (or less??) liquid to accommodate for their increased absorbency. My mom is going to try it tomorrow and she only had quick so I will let you know how hers go.

Courtney ,
Lots of the recipes called for apples. I'm DEFINITELY making this with blueberries when the season comes!! Blueberry cobbler for breakfast!! (I might try with frozen but I think they might be too watery).

Nadia ,
You can buy parchment near the tin foil and plastic wrap. It comes in a roll too. You could probably use foil - or just cooking spray and a non-stick pan and have a little messier removal.

Rachel ,
Glad you like the oats!! Thanks for reading :)

rachel k,
I have DEFINITELY noticed more definition in my arms since I started doing more variety - which I think is key. I also added pull-ups and think they work really well to define arms. You should ask Kelly for some routine recommendations on her fitness blog! http://freepersonaltrainer.wordpress.com/

Bree,
Unfortunately I would say the baked oatmeal is kind of mushy :( Maybe you could work on an oatmeal cookie recipes that is breakfast-worthy and crispy!? I think cooked plums and nectarines would be divine in oatmeal (or any hot breakfast). I can't wait until they are in season and you'll see them in mine!

Kristin ,
Normally I'd agree with you on the weather, but I think having my mom along prolonged the outdoor workout :) Glad you like the pumpkin yogurt!

MoniMoni ,
SO GLAD to hear of another oatmeal convert!!

Jo ,
Your recipe looks good too! Very similar but with 1 cup less milk. Maybe if you added more liquid it would puff up more and be less bread-like ??

Susa ,
Thanks for sharing the link. Sounds like fun - but sickening too! I bet my dad would like it :)

That All You Can Eat baseball seats thing is distrurbing. Thanks for sharing Susa!

The obesity epidemic is such a strain on our health care, economy, school system, way of life, etc, etc. It just makes me so mad to see things like those seats that are clearly promoting a very unhealthy way of life. :(

Okay, I will make everyone else feel really good about themselves. We have free soda in the office and I frequently will drink 5 or 6 caffeine free diet cokes A DAY!!! Especially if I am stressed. But I thought, for Holy Week I would give up all artificial sweetners (I was going to do it for lent, but it didn't happen) and so far I really haven't missed it much.
