I've got a SIGG too, and haven't had any problems with the designs scratching off or any denting, and I've dropped mine a much of times. I love mine, but I will warn you that if you want to add ice, the cubes have to be small, as the mouth of the bottle is pretty tight. And Kath is right about the screwtop, it's a bit difficult to take off and on at the gym. I got the sport top, and it was definitely worth it.

thanks for the reply kath. So it's probably water weight, yeah I remember reading you saying it was too frustrating to weigh yourself daily for maintenance. I think I understand why...

Thanks K for the quick response! Definitely going for the Sigg. I just need to make up my mind on the size, color and design.

Thanks Allie your comment is very helpful. I am definetly, considering the 1L bottle. I was also wondering about the designs/patters. Are they painted on the bottle? I'd hate to buy a bottle with designs and then end up with a scratched bottle surface or even worst the design coming of the bottle and onto my hands. I have also seen the hot and cold bottle and have considered it as well.

Speaking of water, I have heard that it is better to drink room temp water instead of cold water because it shocks your system. Does anyone know if this is true?

Michelle,

I always eat the pb and j on rye bread - the 'beefsteak' variety that's sold pretty much everywhere. I used to eat it on pepperidge farm wheat bread but my ex-roomie introduced me to rye and i never went back :P

As for the snacks...I LOVE fruits so I always have a piece of fruit for a snack mid-morning. Today I had a Fugi apple mid-morning which was enough because I eat my breakfast at 9ish when I come into work (that's when I get hungry) and it always holds me over well so a piece of fruit is enough. Mid-afternoon though I usually get pretty hungry... Typically I eat the following:

-dried apricots, almonds and a pear

-honey graham cracker sticks with pb (yes, i'm obsessed with pb) and a banana

-a couple slices of veggie cheddar cheese on an english muffin

-homemade hummus and slice of veggie cheddar cheese on an english muffin

the above is when I've actually planned ahead but if not then I have a luna bar - which keeps me full longer than any other bar (and i've tried my fair share of energy bars). I eat dinner sort of early though...like around 6 but if I'm eating a late dinner than I just have a bigger mid-afternoon snack like

whole wheat waffles with smart balance and jam

oatmeal (unfortunately the instant kind) made with almond milk,

bowl of heart to heart with milk

Zbar with a cup or so of almond milk

Hope that helps!

Bev ,
Take a wild guess on the placemats.....Crate and Barrel :)

Chels,
It's SO exciting. My b-day is October 26th - maybe you'll be overdue and we'll have the same birthday! October is a wonderful birthday month. Can't wait to see you again!

Kelly T,
I'm never far from the Internet (sadly) so I do "carry" ToDoist with me :) My gym is about 2.5 miles away.

Kristine ,
I think it's approprite to say "It's a great day to be a Wildcat." (And while it would be amazing for them to win...I'm not getting my hopes up..)

Veg,
I have NOT tried maple butter (and I've only had pumpkin and apple butter once or twice in restaurants). What kind do you buy!?

Angelcubbie ,
You can gain 3 pounds of "weight" in a week, but not 3 pounds of fat ...or muscle. You'd have to eat 3,500 x 3 calories ON TOP OF maintenance calories to gain that much. Unless you're eating at buffets all week, I seriously doubt you could do it.

Kiala ,
Get out your sled and hit the hills!

Susan ,
We shall see tonight!

Lacey ,
Haha, I think after I've made the exact same combo so many times, I probably can get away with attaching my name to it.

Elizabeth and Yaz,
I LOVE the Sigg. I hate Nalgene bottles because they smell and my Sigg doesn't smell at all. I have a .6 liter one because i'd rather fill it up more than have to carry around more weight. Definitely worth the money! Yaz, I use a plastic squirt bottle at the gym so I don't have to unscrew a cap. I would get the sport top if you plan to use it for workouts because the traditional top is kind of labor intensive to unscrew.

Rachel,
Yesterday's lunch kept hunger at bay until around 4:30 - 5 when I had the early dinner. The burrito was pretty filling. I do love yogurt with lunch though!

Christianne ,
That sandwich sounds great!! I think I remember reading that one..
