Boy am I feeling run down today. I had about 2 hours of nausea this morning. I’m unsure if it’s pregnant, jet lag or possible sickness coming on.
My cure? An hour walk. I called my mom and she said “Shouldn’t you be on the couch?” But you know – walking (slowly) almost always makes me feel better, and when I got home lunch sounded good.
Our fridge is pretty bare, but I found just enough to make something good: eggs, avocado and jalapenos in a whole wheat tortilla! This tasted WONDERFUL to my palate today!
Tons of messy, drippy grapefruit on the side that saturated a whole napkin!
I lent Karen my car for a few days, so I’m carpooling with her to pick hers up and then off to fill the fridge for dinner. Two things that are definitely on my grocery list: sharp cheddar cheese and avocado!
See the curve!?

Looks like a Mexican inspired lunch! I like it.
Awww..you have a little baby bump! So cute
You are so cute! The body is amazing. Keep feeding that babe good and you will be fine!
Sorry to hear you were feeling so run down!! I’m glad the walk and lunch made things better
You look great for 13 weeks! Oh and eggs with avocado is one of my favorite combinations
I love bellies.
Looks good! Like a litle breakfast burrito.
Reading your posts where you have eaten eggs always makes me wish that I liked eggs. They look so good. They sound so good but… yech! Glad they work for you though.
I’ve never put jalapenos in my eggs. This sounds like exactly what I want for dinner!
Hope you feel better soon, Kath.
Looking good… belly and body wise.
Hope the nausea will slow down and completely stop sometime soon, you never know when it will strike next!
It’s definitely there! Mine was the same way–last week, it just popped, and now all my co-workers say it’s 100% obvious that I’m pregnant. Such a weird feeling.
so precious!
Creative lunch concoction!
There’s a definite baby baby bump!!
Eggs + avocado sound AMAZING!
Ooh, you’re definitely starting to show! That’s exciting
Good job for walking even though you were nauseous. If I’m not feeling well, all I want to do is lie down, but inevitably the only thing that actually helps is moving around. Do you refrigerate your avocados when they’re ripe? We never had them in my house growing up and I’ve only purchased them on my own a handful of times, so I’m not exactly sure how to handle them.
I do refrigerate them after cutting into them. They go bad on the quicker side
A dose of fresh air and exercise always helps me feel better! Glad it worked for you! Definitely see a baby bump! Very exciting!
Love the belly photo! Avocado, egg and jalapeños are one of my favorite combos!
Sorry you weren’t feeling so hot this morning. Awww…le bebe bump!
Cute baby belly Kath! I think it’s so interesting to hear what women crave when they’re pregnant. Have fun stocking up on cheese and avocados – maybe some Mexican inspired cuisine is on the cards?
Have a great afternoon!
There’s definitely a noticeable difference! You have such a cute little bump now!!
You look amazing Kath…I can see the bump! I love your new Baby KERF website, btw. I’ve been checking it out daily and have been enjoying reading about your pregnancy. It’s great that you can be so open about this personal yet wonderful time in your life! I can’t wait to read more!!!!! All the best to you and Matt!
love the curve!
Hope you feel better as the day continues, and yes a noticeable bump!
I’ve been looking for new breakfast ideas, and that egg/avocado/tortilla creation has me inspired to try something similar. Minus the jalepenos, though – Hubby loves them, but I’m not a fan…
Cute picture!! Lunch looks yummy!
I need to learn to effortlessly create variety like you do with your food! I’ve never seen anyone else make grapefruit look appealing…much less next to an egg/jalapeno concoction. Congrats on the growing bumpity-bump!
It’s so funny how you feel like you definitely have a bump in those early-ish weeks…and then by the end, you’re like, “What was I THINKING?!? I didn’t have a bump at all!!!” Now that I’m nearing the end, I look at my twenty-week pic now, when I felt so big and legitimately “pregnant looking,” and I look so small, haha. Regardless, you look great!
I’m 13 weeks preggers and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve eaten a wrap with avocado. My current favorite is chicken, a little mayo, lettuce and LOTS of avocado on a whole wheat wrap! mmmmmm.
i see it!
hope you’re feeling better
Sorry you aren’t feeling well today… hope the sunshine helped? I always think it’s fun when my meals are similar to yours–today I too had a wrap with avocado and a grapefruit!
Look at that cute little bump!
I spy a baby bump! Whoot!
Well that came out of nowhere! Hooray!
My grapefruit always turns into a ridiculous mess! And what a bump, after only two weeks! So exciting!
The bump is COMING! You are so cute
I cannot believe how different you look!
Love that cute lil baby bump
My first thought was that you were having a boy, but in the above pic it looks more like a girl to me.
The bump is strating to show up, that is so cute!
I see it! So cute! You can see such a difference in just two weeks.
I see it! So cute, you look great!
Mmmm jalapenos and eggs! You are so cute.
Love the bump!
You’ve definitely got a little bump going this week! So cute. Sorry you’re feeling like crap though. It comes with the territory although I bet a little bit of jet-lag has something to do with it too. I always feel icky after traveling and I’m not even preggers. And on that note, I think I’m going to go make myself an egg sandwich. Your pictures totally put me in the mood. Have a good afternoon!
Lunch looks delicious!
Your baby bump looks so cute! Hope you feel better soon.
Spicy eggs are the best! Love the mini-baby bump!
That lunch does not sound like a nauseau cure to me, but to each their own! lol Hope you’re feeling better!!
Can definitely see the curve! YAY!
You look so ADORABLE with your baby bump!
13 weeks is when I ran my half marathon . . . and it’s also when I first noticed the very slightest bit of curve in my stomach. Very exciting times
Also, I had wicked bad morning sickness until like 16 weeks and eggs . . . EGGS . . . they were awesome. I think the more protein you eat, the better. At least in my case. <3
I can’t get enough of avacado right now. Even when I don’t think it tastes particularly good, I still WANT AVACADO. It is so strange.
Can definitely see the curve! I hope you’re feeling better soon. It’s amazing and crazy what an effect pregnancy can have on the body. Just do whatever you feel like doing and eat what sounds good. I suffered nausea almost the entire time with my second daughter and only gained a pound (sounds crazy, I know). She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and will be twelve soon
.
Hope you feel better! Nausea isn’t fun! Your lunch looks amazing and I am always so impressed by your wonderful pictures!
Yes! I see it!
Congrats on 14 weeks tomorrow! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow-I feel like this time my
pregnancy is just FLYING by. With my son, certain months were slow and then some went really fast. I am loving the growing bump and BERF so much!
You look so great! I love me some pickled jalapenos!
LOOK at your cute little bump! Hope you are feeling better this evening
You look gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!
You lunch looks SO good!!! That grapefruit made me pucker my mouth though, I can’t eat them too sour!
Yum! Your grapefruit just made me crave citrus so I’m currently enjoying a juicy orange. Love the baby bump – can’t wait to watch it grow.
Sorry you weren’t feeling well – hopefully the nausea doesn’t come back. I love that you went for a walk instead of just doing nothing. You look great with a little baby bump!
I used a walk as a cure for feeling crummy today too! I’d had a headache for a couple days straight. It was so nice out that I told my seventh period class that we were going to walk around the track for half of the period. It worked like a charm – no more headache!
I am still so excited for you! You are going to be such an amazing mom.
YAH for a baby bump!!
You have a baby bump! It’s gonna be fun to watch your progress.
I do see the curve! You look so happy!
Cute bump!!! Kath, I got through 8 months of pretty awful nausea during my twin pregnancy by walking/running – getting outside. Many people told me to lie down and relax but it just didnt feel good, deep breaths of fresh air was what felt best!
I spy the bump!
Ahhh! I see the curve! So exciting!!
You look wonderful, Kath (despite not feeling so hot..) Hang in there!
I need to get some jalapenos. I just love the taste of them on different dishes.
Love the oranges!

And I have to say… I think it’s a boy…. and I’ve never been wrong about a “prediction”
