Whatta day! Whatta fun fun day! Packed with action relaxing.
We started the day with a little grooming – how much Bare Minerals do two girls need for one weekend!?
And then joined a group for breakfast at Bread & Cocoa. I ate here last year and knew they had a fabulous oatmeal topping bar. I was thrilled to see it’s still in action!
Finally got to meet MamaPea!!
Of course I got the oatmeal – steel cut and hearty!!
And of course I travel with Barney Butter
I topped my oats with chopped almonds, golden raisins, CHAI GRANOLA and the most amazing coconut.
Went back for a few extra toppings, but didn’t end up finishing the oats underneath – the portion was huge!
On the side – a Cafe au Lait (a.k.a. “misto” with half milk, half coffee)
After breakfast, Gina and I went to pretty up our fingers. Good for camera clicking and food photography!
We searched for a good nail salon yesterday with no luck, but today we just happened to stumble upon this awesome one – Salon thi. It was on the second floor and was bright and airy and we were treated like queens!
The silver selection:
Next up was a little shopping. We went to Lululemon and I got a pair of running pants! I tried on the TaTa Tamer and actually didn’t like it. I felt more like Madonna than a jock
After that we realized we were out of time (sorry for the blogging delay!) and we had a 2.5 mile walk to the SF version of Yoga To The People
After a lovely warmup speed walk to get there on time, we arrived at the most beautiful yoga studio I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous wide open wood floors. The class was awesome – a simple power yoga flow. LOVED fitting this into my week.
More walking in the same neighborhood led us to the very famous Cafe Gratitude!!
I was shocked that we were able to get a table for 7 (and found about 15 other bloggers already there!)
This might be my new favorite restaurant I’ve visited for lunch. Mostly (all?) plant foods and lots of creative raw creations, it was a healthy foodie’s ideal menu.
Also, an onion-hater’s ideal menu! Look closely!
Our table of 7 shared a sample plate of very awesome things. Raw crackers and spreads and collard green rolls.
And then the foods arrived. Sprouts are so gorgeous!!
It was a hard decision, but I decided on the tacos – rice, black beans, masa tortillas, cashew cream, veggies, guac and salsa
They were incredible!!!
I got the sauces on the side in case they were oniony, but they were my favorite part!
Didn’t quite finish my lunch so I would have room for……coconut cream pie!
WOW WOW – this was the best coconut cream pie I’ve ever had! The filling was so vanilla-beany and light like whipped cream.
Split 7 ways, it was gone fast!!
After the big, late lunch, we enjoyed the 2.5 mile hike back to the hotel (with a pit stop for shopping!)
I’m now trying to upload photos, blog, shower, make-up and get dressed all at once. Hope I’m not late.
And the Foodbuzz Festival begins NOW!

What a fantastic day!!! Love your nail polish color
Wow, all of those raw foods look awesome! I sure would have loved them when I was doing a raw diet for a week

Oohh everything looks amazing Kath! So jealous you’re out having all this fabulous food… while I’m stuck with campus dining, haha. That place sounds super veggie friendly, I’m sure I would love it. I’m never tried any raw food items out at a restaurant, but now that I think about it I actually don’t know if I’ve ever even seen any on a menu around here! That’s what you get in the middle of Ohio. Lol.
That coconut cream pie looks amazing!
OHMIGOD KATH – do you know what a bear party is???? Ahhh, I die. I die.

What a wonderful, wonderful day! I’m so crazy-envious… both of the lovely people you’re spending time with and the food! There’s nothing even close to a raw restaurant here in Canberra. Boo!
P.S. What made the coconut so amazing this time?
What a day! Looks like you’ve been having a great time!
There are so many of you in those pictures I would LOVE to meet. I have a feeling I will be envious a lot this weekend. Have fun!

I LOVE that nailpolish!!!
Looks super fun- So jealous you all get to enjoy the amazing, healthy restaurants in SF and meet-up with all the fellow bloggers. Have a blast. I live in Santa Cruz- just an hour and a half south of San Fran. You should stop by if you have time- it’s WAY more sustainable and organic than SF
I love that you come prepared with Barney Butter! Oatmeal just isn’t the same without it!
Wow, Cafe Gratitude looks like an amazing restaurant! Such beautiful food!
Those tacos looks amazing!!!
Enjoy your time in SF!
Don’t forget to stop as a magazine stand and buy out all issues of Marie Claire. I certainly hope you all a magazine burning bonfire together since you are all together!

Nails and that delicious food! Sounds like you are having a great time!
That coconut cream pie is making my mouth water.
Wow what a great day! Your lunch looks delicious, and nice choice on the Lulu purchase! I’m going next weekend and have been checking the site regularly to try and decide what the next item on my list will be. Have fun at dinner tonight!

The silver polish looks fab- I just found my next mani color!
if you have time for more yoga you should go to bhakti flow and take rusty’s class…he teaches at 9 am tomorrow and sunday, and during weekdays too…the BEST class in the city. just had a raw pistachio truffle from gratitude…raw vegan or not, the best dessert ever, hands down
The food looks fantastic and all the light and windows in the yoga studio looks relaxing.
You made it to my neighborhood! It’s actually a hot spot of great food in the city. I have never been to Yoga to the People, but after seeing your pictures I really, really want too!
What a wonderful day in the city! Whenever I see photos of it I start missing it
I definitely am adding those 2 restaurants to my ‘must-eat-at restaurant’ list – yummo!
& I’m glad you mentioned your dislike of the TaTa Tamer. I’ve been wanting to order one, but now am thinking I should wait to try it on first – thanks
Your lunch at Cafe Gratitude looked AMAZING!! I have to go there and I have to get the coconut cream pie. That just happens to be my favorite type of pie. What a fun day.
WOW! I will be writing each and every restaurant down for future reference!
I’m so excited to hear your account of the Festival!
Your lunch looks beautiful!
I love the colour of those sprouts!
Oh man, I am craving me some guacamole!!! The avocados around here become disappointing very quickly, and then don’t come back for so long. What a happy blogger time you’re going to have!
Go back to lulu and try the bust stops here- no cone problem.
LOL I’ve seen pics of that Ta Ta Tamer and wondered about the cone issue.
Oh my goodness- that lunch looks amaaaaazing! Nom!
Love the nail color! And am loving those sprouts.
Have fun at Foodbuzz Festival!

I was supposed to be there this weekend. Oh, have so much fun!
I can’t believe you posted that bear poster. Ohh San Fran. Amazing. Go Kath!!
Fantastic!! I LOVE San Fran! The last time I was there, I had an eight hour layover. Rather than waiting at the airport I took the train dowtown for lunch and a massage!
Love your nail polish color! Is that Essie? Do you remember the exact name?
A girl can never have too many Bare Minerals, I love Bare Minerals!!! I’m so happy to hear that you use it.
Sorry guys, I have no idea what the polish color was! I don’t look at the bottoms! Gasp!
I love bare minerals! I can’t ever use anything else! It leaves my skin flawless. Those pics are amazing! The food looks delish! Did you carry a DSLR or do you take a smaller camera to take those pics?
Always DSLR! (Almost always)

OMG, I can’t believe you went to Cafe Gratitude! I’m so jealous! Whenever I finally make it to San Fran, that’s the FIRST place I’m eating.
Tacos, coconut cream….making my mouth water!
The food looks amazing! I love restaurants like that. I sometimes wish I lived further into Portland because then I’d actually be close to quite a few.
