24 Hour Dance Party

November 18, 2009

After downloading some of that music yesterday, I can’t stop dancing!!

"No Air"

"Bleeding Love"

"Whatcha Say"

"I Gotta Feeling"

"Somebody Told Me"

Matt says I’ll be sick of these songs in a few days. I think not!

I went to the gym at 11:30 in my automobile. Sadness. I hate rain + driving. It gets too steamy in my car! I had LOADS of energy at the gym – maybe it was that mushroom coffee after all!? I did 30 minutes on the Stairmaster with Real Simple  – some of the fastest stair climbing I’ve done all year! It was over in a heartbeat. I also practiced my testimony in my head from the top of the stairs. Then I moved to the Squirrelliptical (see Q+A page!) and finished with more dancing in my living room that carried into the shower ;)

Come 1:30 I still wasn’t very hungry for lunch. A huge bowl of yogurt + pumpkin at 9:30 will do that. But I had to eat so I can get on the road to class, so I made a nice little lunch.

Spinach salad with toasted almonds and OhNuts dried raspberries drizzled with some St. Helena Kitchens berry balsamic

Plus a High Five Fiber bun – fresh from the oven! – with Nuttzo and TJ’s pumpkin butter. Between the Nuttzo and the flax seeds in the bun, this was a crunch-lovers ideal bite.

To class I go….I’m not packing a dinner tonight so I’ve got double snacks ready to go!

I love the dance party idea. I should dance around the house while listening to Pandora.

What – no pictures of dancing today? Rats!
The rain hasn’t made it to Durham yet but it’s on its way!

Nothing beats a dance party in the living room!

Those raspberries sound amazing in a salad.

I love finding new ‘old’ songs.

I agree with Matt! I’m already tired of “I’ve gotta feeling” because they overplay it here in Chicago. I could definitely go for some NEW music! Have a good class!

I agree with you Kath, I don’t think you will get sick of them either. I have had Whatcha Say on repeat for ohhh, WEEKS! haha.

You need to add Passion Pit to your dance party.

Those are some pretty fun songs to dance too! Unfortunately, they overplay all of those songs on the radio, so I’m minory sick of them already :(

I think you may be sick of those songs too….but maybe not ;) Those are on the radio all the time here…I don’t get why radio stations overplay songs so much!

Lunch looks yummy!

I always THINK I’m not going to get tired of a new workout song…and then I play it ONE time too many, and suddenly, I just know that I’ve killed it. I hate that feeling ;-)

I can listen to “No Air” on repeat for hours. It’s amazing! I don’t even have anyone I’m attached to (other than Muffin aka bestie), but it just gets to me! The others are fab, too!

Mmm spinach+fresh buns (lol)+ nut butter sounds amazing for lunch!

Your posting yesterday reminded me of how much I loved Hide & Seek when it first came out….

The first time I heard Whatcha Say I spent HOURS trying to find the song the chorus hook came from…so glad to find it again!

I think there’s nothing better than dancing in the shower ;) I’ve had “I’ve gotta feeling” stuck on repeat in my head for like 3 days and I don’t mind because it’s such an AWESOME song. Love me some Peas.

New songs make working out so much more fun! I’ll admit that sometimes I am “that girl” mouthing the words to songs and dancing a little when I’m running…people much think I’m crazy! That Black Eyed Peas song, I’m over, probably becuase I worked out to it almost every morning during my crazy bootcamp experience this summer!

I am obsessed (no really out of control crazy about) Whatcha Say. I don’t actually have it on my ipod or anything but I play it on youtube at least 3 times/day for the last few weeks.

My other self dance party obsession: Beyonce.
(The current jam for me is “Diva.” It’s so sassy! If you haven’t heard it… head over to youtube now!)

MelissaNibbles,
Any songs in particular?

Monica,

Hey Kath, I read you everyday!
Just wanted to let you know that you can stop the steaminess but putting on your front window defroster it is the little fan shaped thing on your ac/heat in your car. The temp can be controlled so that you aren’t too hot or cold by it, but try it…I guarantee it will clear your windows!
Take care

Reply

50 Mo November 19, 2009 at 9:28 am

Oh, and I forgot to mention that you must NOT have it on recirculate (that is the little car shape with the sideways U) that causes you to be steamy too because it reuses your internal air in stead of bringing it in from the outside.
